Summer Fun Hula Style*

Good morning! It is Saturday!! Yippee!!  I was so happy to get out of work yesterday and begin the weekend! We went to Acworth Fish Camp .. a strange name, but a great restaurant. It is on Lake Allatoona and it is only open seasonal. They will be packing it in for the season in a couple of weeks. We had some buffalo wings. Then we came home and the rest of the evening I colored and created .. or halfway created a card. I had to let it dry, so I will finish it this morning. Today.. I'm not sure what we are doing. Not much of anything I don't believe. I'd like to go to the Goodwill to see if there is any good buys there.

Today I am sharing my newest summer make:















I colored all of these wonderful Drawn With Character images with my Copic Markers. These are from The Hawaiian Set. I absolutely adore Krista's images and I would own them all!!   One day I just may! LOL I layered them and put them on this Side Step Card. I used a bit of Wink of Stella on parts of images.. the flower on Aloha, the fun on the board, the lei and wrist leis on the hula girl and the flower on the hula girl. I did a bit of tearing for the sand and the water under Aloha. Aloha is also on a die cut. I believe that was a Spellbinders die. I used chalk on that yellow die cut as well as the water and sand torn edges. I also used chalk on the die cut sun. I can't remember who's die cut that is. I love that sun though! I added some Wink of Stella on the Tiki as well.. on his eyes and his teeth. Then I used Diamond Glaze on his eyes as well. The Summer Fun was cut using my Silhouette Cameo and then I added some little shells that I had to finish off the beach scene. All of the papers are from my scrap box.. I thought this was a perfect time to use scraps.
