Anything Goes @ Delicious Doodles.

Good morning and Happy Friday! I got to work from home today Yay! Just in time for a nice long holiday weekend!! I love that!! So, Kevin and I went to a movie today.. we went and saw Guardians of the Galaxy. I really liked it a lot! We watched it in 3D and I thought it was one of the best 3D movies I have seen. Very funny.. very clean! Loved it!!  I'm going to let the kids watch it this weekend if they want to!  Other than that.. home and coloring! I need to get busy! LOL

Today is Challenge #103 at Delicious Doodles and we are on an Anything Goes Challenge. For this challenge I tried to get another Christmas card done :)

For this one I used Holly Fairy which you can find in the Delicious Doodles Shop. I colored her with my Copic markers.. although I almost wish I had used my pencils. I find that the smaller detailed art I tend to color better with my pencils LOL  But here she is in Copic. I decided to color her with differently colored skin. No decoupage this time. I added the red glitter around the edge of the Spellbinder circle die cut. I added white glitter to her wings. All of the papers are from my scraps from last years paper. I also distressed some of the papers edges. The Merry Christmas is a Paper Smooches stamp.

COPIC MARKERS:
  • Red: R14, R25, R46, R59
  • Holly Green:G20, G24, G28
  • Skin:YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97

Cuddly Buddly.

Good evening everyone!! I am posting this evening a card that I finished today for a DT Call. The DT Call is at Cuddly Buddly. They are looking for a Design Team and the call closes September 1st. Here is what I came up with:

For this card I used Flower Birds by Karen Middleton which you can find at the Cuddly Buddly Shop! I added some flowers and butterflies from my stash. The image and the blue cut behind it was cut with a My Favorite Things Die. I cut feathers from the blue and the feathers are a Spellbinders Die. The other items I added were the lace, gems, pearls, stitching around the edge. I did a bit of decoupage on the image and I tried to take some photos of that as well. The image was colored with my Copic Markers! I also distressed the pink papers.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Birds: B00, B01, B02, B04
  • Leaves: YG03, YG05, YG09
  • Flowers: R20, R21, R22
  • Wood: E31, E33, E35, E37

Good Morning everyone!!! I'm just trying to get through the week so I can have a nice three day weekend LOL  Going through the motions! I hope everyone is having a great week so far! We are almost to the end!! I leave work at 3 pm usually, but today they have set up a meeting for me at 4:30 pm, so I will be here late and stuck in rush hour traffic on the way home. Yuck!  I hate that!! I just need to get through a couple more days LOL!!! Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!!!

Today we are starting Challenge #225: Sketch at Meljen's Designs. It's a fun sketch... I can't wait to see what everyone does with it!

For this one I used Little Possum which you can find at the Meljen's Designs Shop. I colored this little cutie with my Copic markers. I did a bit of decoupage.. I popped him up and I popped the butterfly. I added the gems onto the banners. The die cut is a Spellbinders die. The Hang and There are rubons from my stash and the IN are these cute little stickers that I had in my stash. Yes.. tried to stick with the theme of using some things from my stash. LOL All of the papers are from scraps. And then I added the strip of ribbon on the outside and inside.

Winners and DT Favorites and Midway For Challenge #17 at Open-Minded Crafting Fun.

Good morning everyone and Happy Saturday!

This morning we have posted the winners and DT Favorites from Challenge #16 and this afternoon you will find the midway post for Challenge #17 at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges!  Our theme for Challenge #17 is Last Days of Summer. They surely are the last days too aren't they! Summer is pretty much gone! We have some FANTASTIC Sponsors for Challenge #17... but then we have some great sponsors always!! :)  Here they are:

They are fantastic, aren't they! I love our sponsors.. please be sure to share the love! If it wasn't for their generosity, these challenges would not be as great as they are!

For this card I used an image from our wonderful sponsor KennyK. The image is Inner Tube Girl. I colored her up with my copic markers. I did a bit of decoupage.. I popped the inner tube and rounded it to make it really look round. Then I popped her leg and arm over the edge of it to give it that little bit more depth. The inner tube is covered with Diamond Glaze to give it that shiny plastic look. I added the pool line sticker at the bottom and the water drop stickers as well. These are from my stash from forever ago. I couldn't' even tell you how long I've had them. I added one line of stitching ... you can see it next to the ribbon. All of the papers are from scraps from another card I did. These papers are from Club Scrap. I used some negative butterfly cuts that I had in these papers on the outside and inside. I added the crinkle ribbon, the die cut flowers and gems. The  stamp... well... I have no idea where that stamp is from LOL I think it was a Club Scrap stamp. The leaves are die cuts as well. The flowers are My Favorite Things and Spellbinders... the leaves are Spellbinders. The butterflies are spellbinders as well... I think?  LOL And that will do it for this card.

COPIC MARKERS:
  • Inner Tube: YR61, YR65, YR68
  • Blue Water: B00, B02, B04
  • Purple Headband and Suit: V15, V17, BV08

Take a full day off of work to do that! :p  The rest of the day I'll work on some cards! :) It is just a day to relax! It is going to be really hot outside too, so we won't be going out much. I hope you all have a great day and happy almost weekend!!

I am so excited to be able to be a Guest Designer for Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges for their Challenge #24. Challenge #24 is a Technique Challenge. Thank you so much to Scrapping 4 Fun for allowing me to join in :)

This is my card for the Technique Challenge. I used a Tiddly Inks Image - Cocoa Wishes. My techniques I guess would be Coloring with Copic Markers, Decoupage and even CAS (Clean and Simple) which I never do because I really stink at it LOL!! Whiff of Joy August.

Can you believe we are over half way through August already! My gosh this year is just flying by! Bailey started Lacrosse practice yesterday and she LOVED it! Everyone told her she did really well for just starting and she seems really excited. She is going to have a busy year this year. She is in 8th grade, which means they are the top dogs at the Middle School LOL  I keep telling her.. Not for long! So, they will have some fun things to do this year. One of them is going to Disney with the orchestra/band/chorus. I'm not sure which one she is going to go with, but I keep pushing her to do orchestra... it will take her further. So, I have to start pulling out money to save for that trip! My oldest went with the chorus when she was in Middle School... she had a blast.  So, between, orchestra, chorus, Lacrosse and clubs... and homework LOL  It's going to be a busy year for my little social bug!

Alright.. enough of that LOL  On to my 2nd post for August with Whiff of Joy.

Isn't he adorable? This is Retired Bee which you can find at the Whiff of Joy Shop. I did a little bit of decoupage on him... I popped his hat, his tie, his front arm, his front leg and his front wing. I colored him up with my Copic Markers. I did a little bit of distressing on the edges of some of the papers. The papers are from a 6x6 stack - . The bottom strip of honey comb is from a My Favorite Thing die cut ad the honeycomb at the top are from a Spellbinders die. I then added the yellow gems from my stash.  The "You're Retiring?" stamp is from Club Scrap. I used the same paper stack to coordinate the inside and a few honeycomb in there as well.

COPIC MARKERS:
  • Black on Bee: C1, C3, C5, C7, C9
