Sunshine Award

Good evening everyone!!! I was so surprised and excited to receive this blog award from the most wonderful Karon @ Karon's Krafty Korner!! I have to say, she is one of the most wonderful bloggers I follow. I visit her every time something new shows up and she does the same! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you Karon!! *hugs*

This award is called the Sunshine Blogger Award.

Here are the rules:

1. Include award logo in blog post.
2. Thank the blogger who gave it to you and include a link back to them.
3. Answer 10 questions about yourself, that you have made up yourself. (I might have to pinch a few!)
4. Nominate 10-12 bloggers and contact them at their blog site to inform them.

Question 1.  What is your favorite genre books to read?
My favorite books to read are fantasy. I love the Dragonriders of Pern series, The Eye of the World series, The Belgariad and more. These are my favorites for sure.

Question 2.  Name one place in the world you would love to visit.
Australia... most definitely. Amazing I would find my soul mate and he would be all the way there LOL And yet... the trip over is still out of my grasp. Maybe one day! At least I get to live through him while he is there :)

Question 3.  What do you like to do besides craft?
I'm a gamer.. I love to play games. I love to watch movies and tv shows too. I don't watch them when they are current.. I love Netflix LOL

Question 4.  What do you enjoy most about crafting?
Crafting is my stress relief! And I love coloring so much.. like a little kid! I really wish I could take some Copic classes, but I can't find any. So I will continue to try to teach myself!

Question 5.  What were your favorite things to do growing up?
I was a dancer until I got into High School (tap, jazz and ballet).Once I hit High School I wanted to get into sports and that is where I fell in love with Volleyball!!

Question 6.  What was your nickname?
I had a High School nickname of Stump. My kids still laugh at it today. I got it from my Volleyball coach, because I was so short LOL I was only 5'0. Wait.. I'm only 5'1 now LOL

Question 7.  What is one of my best qualities?
I think I'm really dependable, loving, friendly. I really try to live like Jesus would want me to. I do fail sometimes, but I try!

Question 8.  What is one of my worst qualities?
I have two that stand out.. one I'm working on LOL! The first one.. I can't say no! And people know that and tend to take advantage. This is something I need to work on too! The second one and the one I am working on... If someone does something mean/wrong, I tend to hold a grudge. I'm trying to be more forgiving. I think I'm doing okay.

Question 9.  What is something you definitely want to do in the next year?
I want to move! I want to get out of this apartment and into a house again. I miss being in a house. It wouldn't be the same without Kevin though.. so first I have to get him here!!

Question 10.  What is your favorite Holiday?
Christmas! I love Christmas and last year Kevin was here and it was the best Christmas I have ever had in my entire life! Here is to many more to come :)

The ghost in the back, I popped the fingers and the tombstone and then I popped the jack-o-lantern one more time and the top pair of fingers. I used My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found Halloween papers, most of them are scraps. I just love them!! And I'm trying to use as much as I can! I also used an old, old large gem. I distressed some of the papers, I used several dies... the circle die, leaves and the rolled daisy. The rolled daisies and the leaves are from My Favorite Things. Oh.. and the owl :) The black around the tree I added Black glitter from Barbara Trombley's Glittering System. I also added some stickles, Frosted Lace, to the skulls and dots of black puff paint for the eyes. The Spook and the spider are from two different stamps that I got from the $1 bin at Walmart. Liebster Award

Wow Vicky!!! You are SO SWEET! for choosing me to get a Liebster Award. I couldn't be more honored or humbled. I can't thank you enough for thinking of me. I can't even tell you how much this means to me. I've seen these awards and never dreamed of getting one. I just started this blog this year and I am enjoying myself so much. I love following all of you and I thank you so much for following me. It has been a blast and I look forward to the years ahead. THANK YOU!!!

 ABOUT THE AWARD
Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved," "Favorite," or "Dearest." This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but is believed to have originated by a German blogger. This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.
RULES FOR ACCEPTANCE
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have less than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award!

PAY IT FORWARD
Now comes the hard part… choosing another 5!  Wow not an easy task.  What helped is that many of the blogs that I like have received it already so I’m passing on to some that haven’t  yet received the award and that have less than 200 followers.  And of course all those blogs are some that I really love, follow and that give me inspiration!

And if I could pass it back to Vicky I would! Because she is one of my favorite blogs to visit each day. She is so talented.. a wonderful person... and I can't imagine working on a Design Team with anyone else. She is truly great!

My list to pass it on to:
  • Quilltique Paradise:  Madalina is amazing. I love what she creates and I love visiting her blog and I know you will as well. She is such a talent!

  • Ruza's Craft Corner: Ruza is a designer on the Meljen Design Team with me and I love seeing all her new creations. I think she is so fun.. and I'm always jealous of her and Vicky for getting so many cards done. I'm so slow!! LOL
  • Sassy Raggedy: Joann is one of the most talented people I know! I want to color like Joann!! Her creations are amazing! AND I LOVE visiting her blog every day to see what is new!

I hope you will take a minute to visit these websites. I hope you will enjoy them as much I do :) And happy Crafting everyone! And Vicky.. Again.. thank you!!! so very much!!!

Copic: I rushed to get this done today and failed to write down my colors. Sorry everyone!

Some of the paper was scrap paper. The purple patterned paper was Graphic 45 Happy Haunting Collection, the other paper was Canvas Corp - Spooky Diamonds on Ivory and Spooky Words on White. The bats and the Spider Webs are from Personalized by You - Bats Metal Accents and Jeweled Halloween Spiderwebs. The "Boo" was cut from the Spooky Words paper. I popped the cat a bit for dimension.. hopefully you can make out some of it. I popped the front and back arm/legs on this side of the broom. I popped the broom a couple of times. Two Cards Today

Good morning everyone! I was able to get an additional two cards done last night. It's really amazing that I was able to get three cards finished in one day.. that is unheard of LOL and to not start until late in the day! Of course... the image was already colored and popped and ready to go so I just had to put them on a card. The other card didn't use an image. Without further ado:

The ribbon is from a Me&My Big Ideas Soft Spoken package that I have had for quite some time. Finally time to put some of it to good use :)  I used die cuts for the three circles. The "believe" stamp is from Unity Stamp Company and it is from the "All Things Are Possible" set. The papers are Melissa Frances papers and bazzill cardstock. And the ink is Cameo Coral from Stampin' Up.

Challenges:
Here is my second card:
The image is from Papelitos. I just adore this little Knight! I popped parts of him.. the sword, the arm. The banners were done with an embossing folder and then I painted them with Creative Inspiration paints... I used Gold and Sapphire. The gold I used around the edge of the large banner and then on the pennants. The blue I used on the pennants and around the edge of the gold pennants. It was super easy with the embossing to know where to paint. Every bit of the paper was from scraps.
Copics:
Leather: E30, E33, E35, E39
Skin: E00, E11, E13
Hair: E30, E35, E37, E57, E59

Thanks Pup {Card}

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you all have had a great week. It has been a long week for me and I haven't gotten any crafting done at all. I finally sat down tonight and got something done. Ya me!! LOL The positive thing about this past week was that I really got a LOT done at work and have managed to get ever so much closer to being caught up. A little bit to go, but I can see an end and that is some major progress!! It is amazing what someone that can help you out does to your work load!!

Immigration... We couldn't find my marriage certificate, so I had to send away for that. I sent the request overnight with a return overnight back to me. It is on its way to Kevin now and hopefully he will have it this week. The attorney did say that we can mail it without it, so I'm thinking we will get it out in the mail on Kevin's Tuesday... which is our Monday evening. I just want it to get there so we can get this last portion over with and get him home.  So, that is where we are there :)

This morning after Kevin went to bed, I went and laid back down.. I slept until almost noon!!! GEEZ!!! What the heck!! LOL I guess I was tired. And then Taylor was down from the college and stayed until after 4 pm. I think I was sort of pushing her out at that point. I was ready to sit down and start making something LOL My whole day was lost! So here is what I finally was able to come up with.

The image is Scruff and Bone from Just Ink Lined. Oh boy.. I could go crazy in their shop... I love so many of their images. I couldn't be happier when I found it!! LOVE that place!!! I've had the image done for a while... I did a bunch of images and have been trying to get them into cards LOL What I used:
Copic: C1, C3, C5, C7, E40, E41, E43, E33, E35, B0000, B02, R20, R21, R22
I used Diamond Glaze on the nose and slobber. I popped part of his face so he looked like he was holding the bone in his mouth and the slobber. Papers are all scraps. The pattered papers are from Echo Park. I used some Splatter Ribbon/Mesh and a brown ribbon that I had in my stash. The "Thanks Ever So Much" stamp is from Paper Smooches, Pretty Phrases. This was the first time I used my bow maker from 3 Girl Jam too! It was a little bow.. but wow.. I love it!! So much easier than me trying to do it with my flintstone fingers LOL
