Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #43 - Center Step Card

Good morning everyone!! And Happy New Years Eve :) Today we begin a new challenge over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner. This is Challenge #43 and this week's theme is to create a Center Step Card. This is the perfect time to try one if you haven't yet! They are a fun card to make.

I was able to use Nole from Paper Makeup Stamps. I love Nole!! I made one card with Nole before I realized I wasn't going with the theme LOL Here it is:

Yep... that is NOT a Center Step Card LOL I used Copic, to color, scrap papers for this card, Cheery Lynn Die, a Spellbinders die for the card shape and the decorative square in the background. I also used two sentiments from TLC Creations. And I used some gems for berries on the holly leaves.

Copic:
Body: YR12, YR16, YR18
Horns: C1, C3, C5, C7
Wire: YG67, YG63
I did not write down what I used for lights or the dots of blue around him.

Challenges:

Since this was NOT a Center Step Card LOL I created another card with the correct theme! Here is my Center Step Card:

For this Nole I also used Copic to color him. I used Jolee's lights on the edges. The papers are all scraps from my scrap box. I used a Spellbinders die in the middle, glitter around the inside edge of that... True Red Glitter from Barbara Trombley's Art Glittering System and Rustic Red paint from Creative Inspirations is around the outer edge of the die. The green leaf and red berries are just cut from a larger piece from Michael's. The little elves are also from Jolee's and the sentiment is from TLC Creations.
Copic:
Body: YG11, YG13, YG17
Horns: R22, R24, R27, R29, R39
Lights: YR12, YR18, BG02, BG07, Y02, Y"18, V12, V17
Wire: G94, G99

Avadares Guest Designer

I had the pleasure of being a guest designer for Avadares for their January challenge. I'm so excited to be able to do this. The image that I used is the free image they have on their website for the January challenge. The challenge is Valentine's Day or Love. I had a lot of fun designing this card.

I used Copic to color the image. The papers are all from Club Scrap. The sentiment is from TLC Creations. The pin and flowers are from Joann's and they were part of my stash. I have no idea how long I've had them. The swirl is a Memory Box Die. I popped the papers on the side and the sentiment. I also popped the male heart.

Copic used:  R22, R24, R27, R29, R39

Thanks for looking!!! I hope you all are having a fantastic holiday!! I am really enjoying my time off and spending it with my family :)

Challenges:

Have a wonderful evening/morning!!  I will see you all again soon!!!

My Bingo was across and consists of: Ribbon - Image - Pearls
The image is Christmas Words - Snow.  I colored this with Copic. I used Paper House 3D Stickers for the words, the snowflakes I believe are Jolee's. I also used white pearls for snow. I have no idea what colors I used. for the snow I used B0000, B000, B00. Everything else.. who knows. LOL I have lost my lists under all my mess. Half the desk is cleared off ... only half to go. The card is more white... the blue was giving it all a weird blue tint.

I have lost my list of colors!! And my desk is such a mess I'm not surprised.. And well.. Kevin enjoys telling me I have the messiest place in the apartment LOL!! I can't help it!  Anyway... back to my card.

I really hate that I have lost my list... I write everything down as I use it LOL  Okay.. I'll do my best. I know I used my favorites R22, R24, R27, R29 for the red. I used Crystal Transparent Glitter from The Art Glittering System. I popped her several times in several areas. The sentiment is from TLC Creation. There are tons of great sentiments there. I can't wait to see what you do with this awesome sketch!!

Challenges:

So, Kevin arrived in the USA on December 12th!! He got here in Georgia on December 12th in the evening! The kids and I picked him up at the airport. We stopped and had some dinner and then came home. He loves Chickfila and couldn't wait to stop for a sandwich LOL So, that is what we did. He was pretty worn out... we visited for a while and then headed to bed. I had to work in the morning, so I got up and headed in. I did NOT want to be at work LOL I left a bit early and came home. I had taken Friday off. Friday morning we went and got a marriage license and then Friday evening we went back to the court house with all three of my children and got married. So!! After all of our waiting we are now Husband and Wife :)  And I couldn't be more happy!! We didn't go anywhere because I had to work, but we have enjoyed our time together. I haven't been on the pc too much. I'm just starting to get back to my normal routine. I feel all out of sorts. So, there you have it LOL I've been a bit busy between getting married and Christmas! And I miss all the blogs! I'm trying to get caught up a bit.

Alright... we are off to church soon. I will talk to you all again very soon! I hope you have a wonderful day .. Almost Christmas!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Challenges:

I am so behind on everything. This past week was full of everything between Christmas and Immigration.

When I last posted Kevin was about to head to his interview. His interview was last Tuesday at the American Consulate in Sydney. He was only in there for a couple of hours and we had our approval. His plane didn't fly out until that evening, so he had a day to waste in Sydney. Then he hopped on a plane back to Brisbane. They had told him it would take about 5 business days to get his Visa and they had given him a tracking number. We weren't going to book a flight until we had that Visa in his hand. So, he hopped on his bike and was SUPPOSE to get a hotel/motel, but no.. the man rode all the way home IN THE DARK! Where there are tons of kangaroos and he knows better. He made it home safe and sound and now the waiting begins. Now its Tuesday evening. Wednesday and Thursday he starts to prepare what he needs to do to finish up there. We get off Skype on my Thursday morning ... his Thursday evening and I headed to work. I saw an email from Sydney and they had sent the paperwork out!! It was only suppose to take a day, but they mailed it late so it wasn't going to get there on Friday. We didn't think he would have it in his hands until Monday at this point, but we knew it was on the way. He booked the flight for this Wednesday. He went by the post office on Saturday morning and they had the package. He sold the caravan, sold the bike and he left Clifton Saturday evening. I can't believe how quick everything has gone. He flies out in 3 days!!!

On top of all that I have five adopted families that I had to get Christmas for. Three of the families were adopted by my office. I collected gifts and money for these three families. Each family had three children. I collected over $1K for these three families and then my sister came down and we went shopping. I tried really hard to get what was on their wish lists. One family was adopted by my family, my sister and my mother. The last two families were not adopted and I told the church I would help shop and get Christmas done for them. That was five families that I had to coordinate and shop for. Then I had to wrap all the gifts and deliver them yesterday!! I spent the entire day wrapping gifts and delivering. I don't regret a thing though.. It was really great to be able to do that for those families.

Also last week, Bailey had her first Orchestra concert. That was on Thursday evening. It was the 6th graders, then the 7th graders and finally the 8th graders. It was amazing to see how each class improved as they learned more and had more difficult music to play. It was a great concert.

I have also had an extremely week at work, have had to coordinate Christmas parties there and ... well!! I'm just exhausted and behind in all of my DT responsibilities!! In fact.. I have to get a card done tonight and I haven't even had time to start on it.

So to wrap all that up LOL I've been super busy and Kevin will be here on Wednesday and I'm getting married on Friday!!!  Woot!! :)  Now we are off to church at 9:30 am and then the Children's Christmas Musical at 10:30 am. All of the Christmas families are invited to church as well!! It will be a busy day LOL Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!!

The Grinch Game

I would love to see all of you join in with me for The Grinch Game!!

Did you know The Grinch lives on snowy Mount Crumpit, a mountain north of friendly Whoville. The Grinch keeps to himself, living only with his dog, Max. Characterized as having a heart "two sizes too small," the Grinch is annoyed by the sounds of Happy Who-Stampers. One Who-Stamper in particular bothered him more than any other, Laura Lou Who.
363 days in Whoville prision gave him plenty of time to think about her and those Happy Who-Stampers and how they put him away last year. With an evil smile on his face he gathered his thoughts, and laid out a plan. One quick whistle and he escaped once again. Outside the prison walls he hitched up his sleigh and was on his Grinch Grinchy way.

LauraLou Who reported a break-in to Whoville police on Tuesday. After an initial investigation, police have started to compile a list of items missing. As of 6am this morning the list includes the following:

CV125 Bah Humbug Stamp Set - valued at $15.00
Copic Sketch Marker 12 piece EX-6 Set - valued at $85.00
Stipple Brush Gift Set - valued at $15.00

Whoville Police are asking Happy Who-Stampers to become Honorary Deputy Patrol Officers and help capture the Grinch.

The more patrol officers they acquire, the more missing item will be found - (that's prizes for us).

Sign up starts today. Prizes will start on Monday and continue through December 10th.

Take a quick trip over to Creative Vision to get the details!!!

I added the green pearls that matched her eyes. The Season's Greetings was a stamp from Inkadinkadoo. I stamped it with ColorBox Scarlet ink. The papers are Bo Bunny Mistletoe papers. I used Copic markers to color the image.
