On The Darker Side at Delicious Doodles.

Good morning! Happy Friday!! So glad it is almost the weekend!! Woot!!!  I'm really looking forward to crafting this weekend!! Bailey has her 2nd Lacrosse game tomorrow morning... I think it starts at 8 am; she has to be there at 7:15 am. I laughed at her.. she doesn't get up early... for me.. thats late!! LOL I'm an early bird! That is because I'm at work at 6 am! I like to miss the traffic.. its fantastic coming in early and going home at 3 pm! I miss the traffic both ways!!

Today we are beginning Challenge #107 which is On The Darker Side over at Delicious Doodles. Since I am trying to work on Christmas cards every chance I get :)  I did another Creepy Christmas Card! LOL  Merry Creepmas.. here it is:

For this card I used Creepmas Centerpiece which you can find at the Delicious Doodles Shop. I did a bit of decoupage on this image. the candle, the fingers and one of the berry skulls on the holly LOL I colored the image with my Copic Markers. I added two holly swirls from Cheery Lynn. The image was cut with a Spellbinders die. The frame was cut with the Cameo and the negative from that cut was used on the inside. I did one line of stitching down the image and around the edge of the frame. Last but not least I did some doodling around the image as well. I did add a bit of distressing on the black patterned paper inside and out.

Copic Markers Used:

Patchwork at Meljen's Designs.

Good morning! I hope everyone's week is going well!! I have thoroughly enjoyed riding to work in this weather! I LOVE FALL!!!  I love those crisp cool mornings.. Love being able to open the windows and let all the fresh air in!! I'm so over summer.. I hate how hot and humid it gets here!!  And we are on Thursday... only two more days to the weekend... I can't wait LOL!! I LOVE the weekend!!  I'm hoping I can get a bunch more cards finished! I'd love to have all of October's DT creations done LOL!!!  We'll see!! I still have a bit to go!  What are you all working on?

Today we are on Challenge #229 - Patchwork (make a patchwork pattern) at Meljen's Designs. Hmmm...  patchwork LOL  When I think of patchwork I think of squares so that is what I did. I used different fall papers to make the patchwork pattern. Here is what I came up with:

I used Hot Apple Pie which you can find at the Meljen's Shop. I love this image.. apples just make me think fall! And a yummy Apple Pie.. Mmmm..with a scoop of vanilla ice cream LOL Yum!!!  So, I pulled out my scraps from the last years fall papers and I used them to make my patchwork design. I stitched around each of the squares. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and did a bit of decoupage on it. The Thanks is cut from my Cameo. The die cut is a Spellbinders die cut. Then I added the large ribbon to top it off.

Kung Fu Henry.

Good morning everyone :)  I hope everyone had a fabulous Monday! It was a Monday! LOL  Ughhh! It was fairly uneventful I guess. It was a beautiful day though and the last place I wanted to be was stuck in an office! Beautiful ride to work in the morning though :)  Even a nice ride home! And now.. I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday! At least it isn't Monday! LOL!!!

I'm posting a new card I created with a Whiff of Joy image - Kung Fu Henry.

So, here he is! Adorable! I colored him with my Copic Markers. I added the twine and gem and dd a bit of distressing. The black paper is embossed. I was going to add a sentiment "HiYa!" LOL But I talked myself out of it. So, he does not come with a sentiment. I decorated the inside top and bottom. This is a small 3x3 card. There is no decoupage on him either! I know SHOCKING! LOL

Copic Markers Used:
  • Black: C3, C5, C7, C9

SLS Lines New Release.

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday!! Yuck!! LOL  I can't believe it's Monday already!!!  I feel like all I've been doing is running around all weekend and now its just gone! So, Bailey and Michael went to Music Midtown this weekend. Kevin and I took them to my sisters on Friday morning. They spent the day with her and then that afternoon went to Music Midtown; I think it started at 4 pm. They got back to my sisters right around 11:15 pm and Bailey had to get up really early for her first Lacrosse game. Kevin and I headed out early Saturday morning and picked her up. Her first game was about 30 to 45 minutes away from sister and she is about 30 minutes from us. It was a good haul to her first game! They did a good job... they lost, but this was the first time they have played together and they did alright! After her game we had to get her back to my sisters. Music Midtown started at 12:30 pm. They were there until about 11:00 pm again. They seemed to enjoy it! I'm glad they had fun. They still had chores to do though, so Kevin and I headed out Sunday morning and brought them back home. I was definitely Mom Taxi this weekend!! And now.. the weekend is gone and its time to head back to work... *cry*!!

Alright... on to my post for today. Today we are showing you the new release for SLS Lines and it a Halloween Release!!  Be sure to check out the fabulous stamps that are available:

The image that I have used is Witches Brew which you can find at the SLS Lines Shop. I colored this with my Copic Markers. I decoupaged the pumpkins and from bottle. I created a little die cut poison bottle for the inside. I added the twine and charm... that charm is so old!! LOL Glad I had the opportunity to use it!!!  I used different gems as well and a stamp for Fright Night. I inked the edge of the die cut card. There are some great Halloween images. Be sure you check them all out. You can see all of the Design Teams creations at the SLS Lines blog!

Winners and Rolling Out The Red Midway Post at Open-Minded Crafting Fun!.

Good morning! And a very happy Saturday!! The kids are in Atlanta with my sister. They went to stay with her yesterday for Midtown Atlanta. It's a big music festival in Atlanta. They are very excited! It started on Friday and goes through Saturday. This morning I am up at the crack of dawn to head to Atlanta to grab Bailey though. She has her first Lacrosse game today and it is an hour away! That is the furthest game though and the majority of them are at the high school here or close by. So, that will be my day; getting her to her game and then getting her back to my sisters! It is gorgeous in the mornings though so it will be a great ride!! Other than that... Thursday the boys both had eye appointments... and on Friday it was the girl's turn. I did go with Kevin and Michael on Thursday and then Bailey and I headed back Friday morning. Now it is the weekend.. time to relax and create!!  Have a great weekend everyone!!

This morning you will find the Winners and DT Picks at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. Then at noon you will find the midway post with additional inspiration from the team!! Our sponsors for Challenge #19: Roll Out The Red are:

We are so blessed with amazing sponsors! And I can't thank them enough!!  Be sure to visit them to show your support!  Where would be without our amazing artists who create amazing images so we can in turn create our crafts!!

Okay.. on to my creation for our Roll Out The Red Midway:

For this one I created a little gift card holder box using my Cameo!  Have I told you how much fun I'm having with it? LOL!!!  For the top I used a Stitchy Bears image - Apple Pie and I colored it my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I did a little bit of decoupage on it. I cute the apple with the Cameo and used all scrap papers from my fall papers from last year. The die cut used to cut the image is a Spellbinders die. I added some red chalk around the edge of that die. I used two different stamps to stamp inside the apple and I stitched around the edge of that top paper. I added the patterned papers around the edge and you can see the inside holds a card.
