Thanksgiving Basket*

Good morning everyone! And a very Happy Monday!!  Monday.. already Monday! I can't believe it. I'm off to work soon, in the rain! I'm not sure I remember what the sun is! And I LOVE the rain, but man... this has been a bit of rain! LOL  So, I have a lot of gear to get on because of the cold and the rain. I don't want to be cold and I don't want to be wet when I get to work! And this is definitely a full face helmet day. Those rain drops feel like needles hitting you, especially in the face! I hope you all have a wonderful day!! I will be busy at work and counting down the minutes to get home LOL  Have a great day!!

Here is my card for today:

For this card I've used Harvest Basket from Imagine That! This is the Digital Image of the Month for Imagine That! I've used the color image for this card. It is absolutely beautiful! I cut around the image with a Spellbinders circle cut and then inked the edges. The rest of the card was cut using the Silhouette Cameo. I've added some leaves and flowers along the bottom. I've added a bit of twine and that Life's Blessing charm on the side. This is a fun rocker card. I really love some of these fun circle rocker cards. On the inside I've added some dew drops. All of the papers are scraps. I love being able to use scraps to get these cards done. I've done really well using scraps this year!

Thanksgiving Cornucopia*

Hi Everyone!!  It has been a day today!! I worked from home, but this morning I had two appointments .. one with the Physiotherapist and one with the Dietitian. I went in.. they did my weighing. I'm down to 217 and I have not lost any muscle this month.. which is a great thing. But, then they started talking about my obsession with the scale.. with hubby too. I know I have a problem, so we talked about it. I fought the tears as long as I could LOL but then they came. I hate that I get all emotional!! So, they are going to send me to the Psychologist so we can see if we can come up with some things to help me work through this. I know I'm obsessed and I also know that if I were to gain anything that I would mortified. I'm hung up on the .. you have a year and a half to lose the weight that they tell you about. I know that I've done well... Down from 295 top weight, but I still feel like I'm not doing well enough. I see that I'm 6 months in and others have lost more. I tell myself that I'm doing well... I'm lifting so I'm not losing muscle... I'm just losing fat and they show me that every time I go in, but those numbers are killing me! So... we will see how that appointment goes. I certainly don't want something to hit me in the end and I get all down and go back to bad habits. So... better to jump on it now! I've worked too hard to get to where I am.. I feel better.. I look better.. I'm healthier. Why is that not enough for me? I have no idea. And why do I keep comparing myself to others! I can't seem to stop. Ughhh!!  A struggle every day... I can do this too!  And my hubby is the best!! He is the best support!! I love him dearly for being there.. being honest and helping through everything. And you know what... Jesus answering my prayers for help with this. Jesus loves me this I know!

Okay.. enough of my dribble :D  Here is my card for today:

This image and the sentiments are From The Heart. I had so much fun creating this with the sentiments and the image both!! I colored the image with my Copic Markers and did a bit of layering. I added some stitching to all of the folds. On the front with the "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment I added some dew drops. I also inked all the edges.. of the sentiments, the card base and the patterned paper. On the middle sentiment I added some sequins. Then, on the back panel I have the image which was cut around by a My Favorite Stamps die. I did a bit of inking around the image by masking it with another printed image. I added some twine and the leaf charm and a few gems. The leaf gem was colored with some alcohol inks. The card base and top papers were all cut using the Silhouette Cameo. I hope you like it!!

Turkey Thanks.

Good morning! I can't believe it's Monday already! It doesn't feel like I've had the extra days off! *cry* And now it's time to head back into the stress. I hope the VP finds a new assistant soon, because I can not do both jobs! Okay.. enough of my whining! It was a good weekend.. a relaxing four days. I was able to get all of the colored images into cards. What more could I ask for? It was a good weekend! We had plans to go out of town, but none of us was really feeling up to it! Now I just need to get all of the posts ready and figure out what to color next :) On the card for today!

Today I'm sharing my Turkey Thanks:

This is all colored with my Prismacolor Pencils. This little turkey is from Digital Delights. I just love this turkey! I have layered him a bit also. I love this Turkey! I used all scraps for this. And I even found this brown paper that the Let's Talk Turkey was cut out of. I decided to use the negative on this card.. .I thought it was very fitting! I added the cut doily to the top and I also added the other half to the inside. I added the twine and button to finish it off. The 'Thanks' was stamped onto the sign.

I'm Stuffed!.

Here is another card.. this is an actual CAS.. sort of.. I think LOL! I have a really hard time with CAS! And its a Thanksgiving. I think this is an old Mooseberry image.. or now he is Doodle Dragon. This is one of those images that were just waiting to be colored. So, it is all colored up with my Prismacolor. Here is the card:

So, I colored up two of these and then I fussy cut them both and popped up a layer just like I did with the Christmas tree really. One side is popped. I like how it turned out :)  It's a cute image! I added one strip of brown patterned paper from my stashon the right. That is it LOL  Nothing more o.0 And that is really hard for me to do LOL  All that white space!!!  Yikes! Hope you like my simple little card ;)

Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner!!! And there is one week less between Thanksgiving and Christmas since Thanksgiving is late. Wow!! Crazy!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Good morning everyone! Today is Thanksgiving Day in the US and the kids and I will be headed down to my sisters house in Atlanta. I'm bringing the ham, I made a broccoli casserole and I'm bringing the desserts that Bailey made. Taylor helped her a little, but it was mainly Bailey. My sister has invited a couple of her friends to Thanksgiving and they are running a half marathon this morning. Lora has asked that we come down early so they can go cheer them on in their run. I'll be staying at my sisters... she doesn't know that yet LOL!! But I have a bit of work to get done and it will be the perfect time to do it!!!

I worked from home yesterday and I worked on some cards for my DT's due this week. I have one finished and one almost finished. I'm packing up all my markers/pencils and I'll be coloring today too! I should be able to get a bit of coloring done being down there all day.

Here are the items that Bailey made to bring down...

These are the acorns with mini Nutter Butters, Hershey Kisses, a mini chocolate chips and chocolate frosting as the glue. They are really cute!!!

These are her Pilgrim hats... this is with a Striped Chocolate Cookie, a marshmallow dipped in chocolate and yellow frosting for the buckle. LOL Cute!

Last, but certainly not least... Turkeys!! Made from Double Stuff Oreos, mini peanut butter cups, Rolo's, candy corn and again chocolate frosting used as the glue. Yellow frosting was used for the legs and eyes, red for the ... hmm.. what is that?? gobbler!! LOL and she used little sprinkles for the center of the eye. Cute huh?? She did a great job with everything!!

I will be getting Michael up soon.. getting everything packed up and heading on our way. I hope you all have a great day!!!
