DT Day at Meljen's

Good morning everyone. I am back to normal... my desk is a WRECK! LOL But it is so nice to be back to creating! I really, really need to clean it off though before I move on to the next card.

Today is my DT Day at Meljen's, so I'll share my card with you. The theme is Fancy Folds and I panicked a little this morning because I couldn't remember what the theme was and thought.. Oh no! What if I did it wrong LOL But I'm all good.. I did a center step card for a colleague at work who just lost her father. And here it is:

I used Meljen's image - Window Cat. I thought it was the perfect image for a Sympathy card. I painted the window with acrylic paints and I colored the cat with my Prismacolor Pencils. I used the one die cut swirl and the die cut with the sentiment on the front. I paper folded the corner and added the flowers and buttons. The papers are all scraps and the base is Kraft. I decorated the inside as well.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Challenge #51: Paper Piecing

Good morning everyone! And happy Monday :)  Today is a new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner and I hope you will all join us. This is Challenge #51: Paper Piecing!! I can't wait to see what you all come up with. I used an image from Bugaboo - Ava and Deacon Love Word.

I love Ava and Deacon :)  I colored the image with Copic. I paper pieced the clothing... Deacon's shorts and shirt and Ava's socks, dress and bow. The embossed hearts and dots were both old cardstock I had. The pink paper is a glitter paper that I had from ages ago as well. I used two heart brads and a round brad to hold on the ki memories Ice Candy.. we know that is old! LOL I used Gold and Valentine Pink Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist as well as Red Pepper - Adirondack Color Wash on the white cardstock. I also used Red Glitter Glue on the hearts. Colorbox red ink around the sentiment. The sentiment is made by me and it is what Kevin says every day to me LOL. I thought I should get it down in a card :)  I decorated the inside of the card with the same embossed cardstock and the rest of the sentiment. Karon always inspires me to decorate the inside of my cards.. so I went for it! And there you have it!!

MelJen's Designs Challenge #148

Gooood morning!! So, it seems like forever since I posted. I have been moving. We are all moved in and pretty well settled. I was able to finish a card for MelJen's challenge! I'm hoping to get back into a groove and get some cards going!  This week at MelJen's we have Challenge #148 - Seeing Spots! (Polka Dots) Here is what I came up with:

I used a dry emboss dots by Darice, the red paper is a patterned and the white paper is cardstock. The ribbon is from my stash... must be 8 to 10 years old LOL The sentiment was made by me. I colored the most wonderful image, Cuddle Bug from MelJen's Designs, with Copic. That's it.. pretty simple card. I popped the blanket.. more like warped it and wrapped it.. I popped the center, but not the edges. I also popped the head over the blanket.

Copic:
Red: R20, R22, R24, R27, R29, R39
Aqua: BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18
Yellow: Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17

Challenges:
Alright.. I'm off to work soon. Thank goodness it's Friday! I hope you all have a wonderful day! It's starting off a cold one this morning.

I'll have to take photos of my area this weekend. We are pretty well settled in. It is really nice having a great husband and a great scrapping space. He has completely let me take over this room down here. He took the shelves we had in the garage and lined them up on the wall so I could put out all my stuff. He is fantastic! :) Our bedroom is right off of this room, so I wake up in the morning and log in to work and my crafting stuff is right here. I'm loving it! Anyway.. enough of that LOL I'll take photos and post them. I miss you all and hopefully I will be around much more again!!

Have a Happy, Blessed Thursday!!!

One Stitch At A Time - Challenge #150

Hi everyone... not sure why this didn't post, but here it is late. I had to use the pc at work to check on it. But we are all moved in and getting settled. So, hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.  Okay... here is what was suppose to post:

Today is a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time! And this week we have Challenge #150 - Anything Goes. You know that is a favorite :)  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I used Tattoos and Feathers by Delicious Doodles. What a fantastic image. I had never done anything Steampunk, so this was fun. I used all cardstock and the squares are chip board. I covered the chipboard with paint and embossing powder. I also added some watch pieces. I wanted to add metal of some sort. I colored the image with Copic and I have no idea which colors I used since everything is messed up or packed from moving. I gave her a little bit of dimension, but not much. I had a lot of fun. I ran out of time with the move, so there is no sentiment. I hope you enjoy :)  Now what are you going to make?

Again... sorry its late!!

Crafting When We Can Challenge #37

Good morning everyone!! Today we begin a new challenge at Crafting When We Can - Challenge #37: Slugs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails! Here is my boys card:

I colored these two images a little bit different so I made two cards instead of one. Now I'm off to the house. I am feeling a little turned upside down. Ninety five percent of my crafting supplies are at the house... for that matter... 85% of the apartment is already at the house. The movers are coming on Friday to move the rest of the items, but we are living on very limited items here. I'll be glad once we are completely moved over there. So, sorry I'm late for the posting and I can't wait to get some normalcy back in our life.  Here are my supplies: Sizzix Splats, Simple Stories patterned paper, Bazzill Cardstock, Spellbinders M-Bossabilities, Colorbox Chestnut Roan ink, Glitter Dome Crystal Stickers, Sentiment by me
