This is Deer Girl from Flat Friends Boutique. I used her as my dress up choice. That way I could make some Christmas tags! She was colored .. both of them... with my Copic Markers. No decoupage on these... I decided to make two different tags. The tags were cut using the Silhouette Cameo. The little reindeer at the bottom and the snowflakes are all stickers. On the one I outlined the gifts and on the other I added the wire and bell. Thats pretty much it. Thought I might use these for Christmas Gift Tags :)  They are big, but who cares LOL

Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #14 Midway Post and Challenge #13 Winners.

Good morning everyone! Happy Weekend :)  This morning is the winner post for Challenge #13 at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. Be sure to stop by and see the winners and the DT Favorites! Here is my water creation for the midway post:









I had fun creating this card. The image is Brrr-ubbles from Scribbles Designs and I absolutely love him! I did a bit of decoupage on him. I popped the mask, his beak and bow tie, the snorkel, his feet and the tube. Then for a second layer I popped the mask, the top of his beak, the face on the tube and the snorkel. I used a My Favorite Things die cut to cut the background dots layer. I also dry embossed the blue paper with swirls... although you can't really see that one very well LOL and the yellow with the bubbles. I used Sizzix dies for the splats and the bubbles. I chalked the embossed swirls that you can't see and I also chalked the bubbles and splats to get some dimension added to it. I then to my clear UTEE and covered all of the bubbles and splats. There are some random drops around the card as well. I filled up the mask with Diamond Glaze to add that nice clear shine to make it really look like a mask. The image is colored with my Copic Markers. The inside was cut with another My Favorite Things die and embossed with the bubbles. You can see the added chalk around that one. And then I added the extra bubbles and splat covered in UTEE to the inside. The bubbles and splats are popped as well. And to finish it off I added the yellow ribbon. That's it! I have no idea where the patterned papers are from.. they have been in my stash for a long long time LOL And the cardstock is all from my scraps. Be sure to check out the rest of the team.. Open-Minded Midway Post.

We are at the halfway point on our first challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges!! One more week to go. You have until right before midnight on the 17th to enter!! The winners will be announced at the halfway point of Challenge #2.. so stay tuned! :)

Here is my card share for Challenge #1: Use New Toys or Use A New Technique. I've chosen to use the Chalkboard Technique. This is something I have been really wanting to try and this was my chance to give it a shot!!

Here is my card:

I used my Copic markers to color the image.. which is Flora from Crafty Sentiments Designs. Isn't she wonderful!!! I just adore her and her adorable eyes! hehehe She is a cutie!! The only thing I decoupaged on this was her front wings. I inked around the square of her image. I also inked around the strips that I added on the side. Those are Basic Grey papers that I have had forever! I used black cardstock for the background, I stamped with several different stamps from Paper Smooches. I love these! I embossed each of them with white ink and I smeared some white chalk around with my finger to add that dirty chalk board look. I really love the look that it gives!!  For the inside I just added the embossed cross.. same stamp set from Paper Smooches :)
