Alice - Have I Gone Mad?.

Good morning everyone!!  This weekend has been a great weekend full of racing and crafting. I went this morning to the gym and worked out with hubby. We watched the qualifying for the V8's... We still have the final race to watch for that. We did watch the MotoGP race and I use to like Valentino Rossi, but he has really put a bad taste in my mouth! He intentionally crashed Marquez. So wrong! I'm still upset, a bit shocked about it! He really went downhill in my book.. my gosh!!  Just.. wow!!  Anyway!!

Went to Bailey's last Fall Lacrosse game. She played goalie for the 1st half. They only scored once! She was so on it today!! Blocking everything they threw at her!! It was so good to see her confidence come back!! That was my girl back out there!! Awesome!!

Tomorrow... I have a couple of doctor appointments in the morning. I meet with the Physiotherapist and then the Dietitian for my follow up.  I'm hoping to just finish the day from home tomorrow. That will make the day more productive. That is the plan! I think it is supposed to rain tomorrow.. so it will be a nice day to open the window, listen to the rain and work! :)  Okay.. I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day!!!

I managed to get another coloring and card finished. Here it is!!

For this stepper I've used Alice from Rick St. Dennis. I had so much fun coloring this image.. the background has so many details. It was loads of fun. I colored this with my Copic Markers and Wink of Stella Markers.I cut the clock and clock hands die cuts from a Sizzix die. The sentiment was printed and cut using a Spellbinders die.The card itself was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I added some small .. I can't even remember where I picked them up or what they are called.. not really gems, not really pearls... sort of like dew drops, but smaller and.. I need to figure out where I got them, because I love them!! LOL  Anyway!!  I also added a brad to the clock hands. I inked all of the papers And that is it :)

Skater Boy Birthday*

Good afternoon everyone! It has been a busy day, but I've managed to finish a card :)  This morning I had to run Bailey to school. Then we had to take my bike to the shop for it's service. We aren't picking it up until tomorrow. Then we had to bring the car to the shop. It was due for some sort of electrical upgrade from a recall. And since we had some issues with it yesterday going all weird on us, we decided we would go ahead and bring that in as well today. I'm just waiting on call from them. Since then, we came home on Kevin's bike and I've been trying to get this card finished :)

Have a great rest of your day everyone! I'm back to coloring now:

For this card I've used two images from Little Miss Muffet - Candy Floss Crew Quentin and Graffiti Party. I've colored them both with Copic Markers and I have done a small amount of layering. The papers are all from a stack that I got from Michael's a while back. I dry embossed the black paper with a Sizzix Jim Holtz Alterations embossing folder. I added some white ink to the inside so that it added those white bits when I pressed it. The white made it look like cement! LOL  I added the twill at the bottom, stamped Happy Birthday onto it and added the four black pearls. I used the same papers on the inside and then additional black pearls to tie it all in.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Quentin Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13; R20
  • Quentin Skull Vest: W3, W5, W7, W9; E40
  • Quentin Skateboard: W7, W9; B34, B37, B39; R22, R24, R29
  • Quentin Shorts: W3, W5, W7, W9; B91, B93, B95, B97
  • Quentin Shoes: W5, W7, W9; R22, R24, R29

Birthday Love*

Good morning... Happy Monday and last day of the month! Yesterday was my lazy Sunday. We spent the morning watching the Moto 2 and then the MotoGP races. My favorite, Marquez, crashed out again. So frustrating - He is a good rider! After that I went to have lunch with my hubby. After that it was time to come back home. I spent the day coloring and have the next image all layered. I just need to create the card. I'm hoping I can work on that tonight. We will see :)  We watched the Indy Car final race yesterday afternoon/evening. Then Michael called and I ran to pick him up from work. When I got home we turned on the Moto 3 race that he hadn't watched yet and started to watch that. I love the Moto Races! I just wish we had some Americans in it.. we have one, but he is never at the top. I do have my favorites though :)  Fun racing! And yesterday was wet racing too!  Alright... time for me to head off to work now. I hope you all have a great week! Next Monday is a US holiday, Labor Day.. AND .. my father-in-law heads back to Australia next Monday too. He has been with us for two months. It has been really good to get to know him :)

I managed to post one card every day this month! That will most probably NEVER happen again!! HAHA! This is the last card I have finished. We will see if I can finish that one tonight. So here is my card for today!

For this one I used a Tiddly Inks image - Close To My Heart. I colored this image with Copic markers. I did a small amount of layering with only layering the heart, arms and wings. The heart easel was cut using my Cameo Silhouette. I added a few swirls that are Sizzix. The tags are Sizzix. The small hearts were  punched and I added gems to them. I also added a few gems to the tags. The tags were put onto the card with a green sparkly brad. I did add a small amount of black ink to the Turquoise swirls. All of the papers are scraps except for the green paper that I cut the card base from. That was bought from Michaels.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
  • Hair: BG000, BG53, BG57
  • Dress and Socks: G40, G43, YG63, G28
  • Wings: Y00, Y11, Y15, YR24

Fin-Tastic Birthday Mermaid*

Happy Tuesday Morning! Well... we got through Monday, so that is saying something! It was a Monday too!  Wow! Just one of those days.. Busy! Bailey stayed home yesterday not feeling well. I'm wondering if she has strep throat. We will see how she feels when she wakes and we may go in for a strep test. Michael has to go in this morning for a vaccine booster, which means that he will be late to school. Then when he gets out of school it is right on to work. They have him scheduled for 4:00 pm; he doesn't even get off the bus until 4:15 pm HAHA! Great planning on their part. I'm working from home today and I have a lot to get done. I'm hoping the nurse visit will be quick and I can get back home. Have a great day everyone!

Here is my Birthday creation for today:

This is my blue monochrome creation using Embrace the Ocean from Ching-Chou Kuik. I colored the image with my Faber-Castell Pencils. I added some clear Wink of Stella to her hair. The bubbles were cut from a Sizzix die. The rectangle right under the image is cut from a My Favorite Things die. The wave die cut at the bottom is from Memory Box. For the background around her I used several shades of blue watercolor pencils. I used blue Wink of Stella on the bubbles and then covered them with Diamond Glaze. I used paint for the pearls around her. I added some blue tulle under the image. I also added some different shades of blue dew drops. On the top I added some ribbon and a seahorse charm hanging from the handmade bow.

Alright...here is my project for "Luck"!

I have used the image Tinkles from our wonderful sponsor Make It Crafty! I colored her up with my Copic Markers and I did a little bit of layering on her. I added a bit of gold glitter around the edges of the bells. I also used some Opaque White to do some highlights on her. I used all scraps for this card. Still trying hard to use my scraps and get through some this year. The circle die is a My Favorite Thing stitched circle. I added some dry embossing to the two different shades of green strips across the middle. The clover is a Sizzix die that I cut three times with two shades of green and a clover patterned paper scrap in my scrap box. The tag is also a Sizzix die. The sentiment, 'Good Luck', is from Paper Smooches. I stamped it three times on the little tag and it is hidden behind the circle. I took a photo of the front with it tucked in and then one with it pulled out. I added a bit of white sparkle fiber and a horseshoe charm at the top and then added some green gems. She is a fun little elf! I had a blast coloring her up green to match the papers and the luck theme!

Whiff of Joy December Post #1

Good morning everyone!! Can you believe the weekend is over already? We had a pretty quiet, nice weekend. We watched V8 racing, my oldest daughter came down for a visit, Kevin and I went out to Dinner with my previous Boss on Saturday night and that is pretty much it!  It was a nice weekend. Too bad it is over! I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

Today I am posting my first Whiff of Joy project for December. For this card I decided to go with a Friendship Card:

There is my Beary Special Friendship card :)  I've used Beary Best Friends which you can find in the Whiff of Joy Shop. I added some twine and ribbon, a Sizzix die cut, a Cheery Lynn swirl die cut, and some flowers. The paper in the back is spritzed with several different paints and embossed. The bear and bee are colored with Copic Markers and a small amount of decoupage was done.
