Merry Unbirthday To You, Yes You!

Good morning everyone! I have been able to get some crafting done, but haven't had time to set up any posts :)  So, I made a point today to set up some posts. So.. here is the first one :)

I was sick all last week... I can't decide if it was a cold or allergies. I've never had allergy problems in the past, but now that I'm getting older... Just maybe?  That would really stink!! But I'm feeling better this week. Still a bit runny, tired, clogged head, but not like I was last week. And I'm hard at work every day... so it's nice to take a little break and have some me time :)  Even while I was out sick I was still working!

What else has been going on? The kids are out for Spring Break this week. Nothing big planned; we didn't going away or anything. They are both hanging out with friends a bit though, so that is good. Bailey and I went to a Kennesaw State University Girl's Lacrosse game on Sunday. That was a lot of fun! And then she got to talk to a couple of the goalies and they were great! My sister came down and saw the kids yesterday. I think she may pick them up another day this week; not really sure.

Other than that... I'm trying to keep on crafting. I've finished some cards and a canvas. I'm trying to finish up some Mother's Day Cards to get up on Etsy. Alright.. enough of me rambling and on to today's card:

I made this card for my daughter... who gave it to her boyfriend. This has become a yearly ritual :) She comes up with an idea and let's me know and I create a card for her. She wanted to give him an Unbirthday Card on the day before his birthday HAHA!! So, here is the Unbirthday card that I created.I used Copic Markers on this one and did layer it several times. I tried to make it nice and bright and colorful. I did add a bit of stitching to the card, some inking and the bling. The sentiment on the inside and outside were created on the pc and printed. And that was it... pretty simple. It took me a lot of time to color and layer! And then she gave it to him on the day before his birthday, which was April 1st.

GDT at Art By Miran*

Good morning and a very happy Friday!! I'm working from home today. I spent most of my day yesterday working on a problem at work. I was exhausted! Tonight, Michael works and Bailey is staying at school to go to the football game. Should be a nice, quiet night for Kevin and I :)  Then tomorrow, I have a full day at the park for Bailey's games. We are suppose to get rain. We will see!!

I was asked to be a Guest Designer on the Art By Miran blog. I couldn't be more excited and truly honored to be asked. This is what I have created... or recreated is more like it :)

For this creation I have used A Birdie Told Me from Art By Miran. I colored her with Copic Markers and I did just a small amount of layering.

I found this little item at the Goodwill store close to my house. I paid a little over $3 for it. I wish I had taken a photo of it before, but I forgot to! It was a dark brown, the edges were worn down and it had some oriental writing on the drawers. I sanded it down and painted it in a dark gray. Then I put a layer of Crackle on it and topped it with a light blue.I dabbed some gold paint around it a bit. The original knobs on the drawers were a small round, boring knob. So, I changed those out for these knobs and I think they look much better. I added some gem swirls on each drawer and some roses. This was created with my Mother in mind. This will be one of her Christmas gifts :) I hope she will like it!

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13, R20
  • Dress: B0000, B000, B00; Y00, Y11, Y15, YR24; B23, B24, B37
  • Roses: R32, R35, R37; C5
  • Eyes: Y06, YG06, BG01, BG05, BG49, B39, 100
  • Hair: Y0000, Y04, Y15, Y26, E37

Halloween Dragon ATC*

Good evening everyone! I was able to get a bit done this morning.. Then I took Bailey to her Lacrosse game. She was goalie for the second half of the game. At the half it was them 4 and the other team 2. The game ended at them 7 and the other team 2. Bailey did not let them score on her! She did great :)  She is rusty in places and she is ready to get back to work, but she did well! When we got home, Michael rang so I went and picked him up and took him to the Urgent Care. The doctor cut away the ingrown toenail and I went and picked up some antibiotics for him. When we came home I told him to go soak in the bathtub in the hottest water he could stand. I've given him some Neosporin and Band-aids as well so he can cover it. I'm hoping it will heal right and he won't end up with another one. He has school tomorrow, so I told him that he needs to cover it when he goes to school and then when he gets home take everything off and let it have some air until he goes to bed. He doesn't work tomorrow, so that is a good thing.

That was it ... Family stuff and a bit of crafting! Now I'm just exhausted and I can't believe I have to go back to work already! I'm hoping I can get a little bit more coloring done tonight. We will see! Here is my ATC I finished:

This is Frost Dragon from Rick St. Dennis. I've colored this with Copic Markers. I did not do any layering with this image. I've added Wink of Stella clear on the jack-o-lantern and the dragon. I've used all scrap papers and did a bit of distressing to the two rectangle patterned paper pieces. The web ribbon was added and one black bling. I also did some ink on the kraft base. Pretty simple ATC!

Copic Colors Used:
  • Pumpkin: YR02, YR04, YR07, W5
  • Stem: E44, E47
  • Leaf: YG21, YG25, YG67
  • Dragon: C1, C3, C5, C7

Pumpkin Patch*

Hi again everyone! I wanted to share another card with you. Then I'm headed to bed :) I really enjoyed being on all my Design Teams, but I am really enjoying just crafting whatever I want to create :)  I have a bunch of challenges I'm trying to focus on. I'm not going to be able to complete all of them I want this month, but I'm having fun doing what I can!! And not stressing :)

Here is my second card I finished today:

This is using Pumpkin Patch Girl Set that is this month's Digi of the Month at From The Heart. I just love her images! This little one is ADORABLE! I colored her with Copic Markers and I popped up that pumpkin she is holding. I stamped the Happy Fall around her. The papers are all scraps. I inked all of the edges with black ink. I cut some leaves and the square around the image with my My Favorite Things dies, inked the edges of those leaves and added some glitter to each one all color coordinated. I added some ribbon and a bit of bling to finish it off. I added some bling to the inside as well!

Sunshine Fairy.

Good morning! Thursday! One more day for us to get to the weekend!!  Woot!! HAHA! I'm counting down! Yesterday was just a busy day at work. Then for dinner we had chinese and I'm thinking I may have eaten a couple of fork fulls too many, because it wasn't sitting very well with me for a bit. After that, Kevin and I watched Home. It was cute. I love cartoon movies HAHA! I'm just a kid at heart I guess :p  Vicky's package was picked up yesterday. Bailey went to church in the evening. That was pretty much it. Not a very busy day.. except for work. I hope you all have a great day!

Today, my card is full of sunshine:

This image is Fairy Summer from The Greeting Farm. I colored it with Copic Markers, layered it a bit and then added some glitter to the wings and her flower. The card, the sunshine and the word sunshine was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I added the gem swirls, the ribbon and the spray of flowers at the bottom. On the inside I added the same ribbon and some gems to tie it to the front of the card.

SLSLines March Challenge

Good morning everyone!

Today we are on Challenge #7 at SLSLines Digistamps and for this challenge we are on an Anything Goes!  You have to love that! I am using the image Owl With Hat and Tie which you can find in the SLSLines Shop!

This card was cut with my Cameo. The cut around the owl is a Spellbinders die. All of the papers are from my scrap boxes. I colored this one with my Prismacolor Pencils and I did layer him just a little bit. I added the ties on the outside and inside. I've had these for a while. They were leftovers from a card a long time ago. I believe they are colored with Copic Markers.  I stamped the Happy Father's Day... I thought this image was perfect for a Father's Day card. I added the different gems down the side.  I did a little bit of paper tearing on this card, but it ended up hard to see on the front.

Alright...here is my project for "Luck"!

I have used the image Tinkles from our wonderful sponsor Make It Crafty! I colored her up with my Copic Markers and I did a little bit of layering on her. I added a bit of gold glitter around the edges of the bells. I also used some Opaque White to do some highlights on her. I used all scraps for this card. Still trying hard to use my scraps and get through some this year. The circle die is a My Favorite Thing stitched circle. I added some dry embossing to the two different shades of green strips across the middle. The clover is a Sizzix die that I cut three times with two shades of green and a clover patterned paper scrap in my scrap box. The tag is also a Sizzix die. The sentiment, 'Good Luck', is from Paper Smooches. I stamped it three times on the little tag and it is hidden behind the circle. I took a photo of the front with it tucked in and then one with it pulled out. I added a bit of white sparkle fiber and a horseshoe charm at the top and then added some green gems. She is a fun little elf! I had a blast coloring her up green to match the papers and the luck theme!
