Halloween Tiddly Witch*

Good morning! I'm back at work in the office today. It was a rainy ride... I had to fight with myself this morning making myself go up and work out. But I did.. and I feel better for it!!  Now to push ahead with the day!! I hope you all have a wonderful day and rest of your week ahead!!

Oh... I think this whole thing with the going to the psychiatrist is just in my head. Can't stop thinking about everything. I think its getting a bit down. I need to stop!  Nothing to stress about.  Ughhhh!! I keep telling myself I will not get on the scale. So tonight when I get home and take a shower I will NOT get on the scale. It doesn't matter what it says... I'm going to have to repeat that all day LOL. I can do this! And I have got to stop comparing myself to others. How in the world do I do that! And why such the need to be one of the best, the one at the top? I hate that about myself. I can be a bit overboard on the competativeness sometimes. But then... that is not what I teach my kids. I teach them to be competative, but not overboard.  I guess we all have some issues, don't we? Bariatric Surgery is a great tool... and I have been able to come so far with it. But it seems like that addictive personality has latched on to the scales and maybe that need to not fail....  be able to lose as much as everyone else. Yep... I'm a bit crazy!! LOL  I already knew that though!

Here is a Halloween CAS Card from me:

For this creation I've used Alison The Witch from Tiddly Inks. I've colored her up with Copic Markers. No layering! I know.. shocking!! LOL  I added a border punch at the top, some ribbon and that raven charm. I stamped Happy Halloween and that is it! Really different for me to do a CAS! But for once I actually like this one!!I think she turned out okay.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Hat: E57, E47, E49; C5, C7, C9
  • Hair: B23, C5, C7, C9, 100

Sweet Pea Stamps Progressive Challenge Part 2*

Good morning everyone :)  And a very happy Saturday! I am so happy the weekend is here! And it is a beautiful morning. It is so cool outside... I LOVE the cooler weather! We don't have any plans today. I'm hoping to just color and craft. We are going to go to the gym this morning. I'm taking my husband and my daughter with me. I have to go get some paint today too. But other than that there is nothing going on. I've told my son and my daughter that they are not to make any plans for today. They are to work on cleaning up their rooms and washing clothes and beds and such! That is it for us this weekend! :D  I hope you all have a great one!

Here is today's card:

This was completed as Part 2 of the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Progressive Challenge. I've used Gabriella Szab - How Do I Look which we were given if we completed Part 1 of the Progressive Challenge. I colored this one with my Prismacolor Pencils. I did a bit of layering as well. I have used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the card base and the different layers to this card. On the top I've added some gems on the side and a single flower. On the opposite side I've used an edge punch and added two layers in different papers. These papers are from a stack that I purchased from Michaels. The edges are all inked. On the bottom I stamped the scripture. The stamp is from Unity Stamps. I also added some gems to tie it in to the top of the easel.

Non-Traditional Christmas at Delicious Doodles.

Happy Friday everyone!! Woohoo!! End of the week.. Happy Weekend!

This is the last month for us to have Delicious Doodles Challenges. I will miss being on this DT :)  I love Teri's images so much!! We will still find them online though :) Her images will be at Card Making Downloads starting in the new year! They will be handling all of the VAT tax issues and Teri will still be able to sell all her fantastic images to us!!  I'm so happy that she was able to find a new way to handle everything!

Okay.. enough of that! On to our new Challenge!! Challenge #117 is Non-Traditional Christmas. For this I chose to use a non-traditional Christmas image:

For this card I used Holly Sugar Skull which can be found for a bit longer at Delicious Doodles. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils. I popped the skull up one layer. All of the berries are covered with Diamond Glaze to give them a berry nice shine! LOL  And the centers of the little flowers have a bit of Pearl Paint. I inked the edge of the Stamp Die which is from My Favorite Things. I added a bit of stitching down the side of the image. I used a border punch and cut red and green and layered those. on the one side I added the red and green gems to that same border punch. I added the bit of ribbon and the buttons and stamped the sentiment and added it to a small banner at the top. I decorated the inside with the same papers and inked the white center paper. All of the papers are scraps from last years Christmas papers!

Meljen's Designs DT Day Inspiration December!.

Happy December everyone!! Only two Meljen's posts this month! I was lucky enough to grab one of the DT Days! And then my Thursday Challenge Post!  Today is my DT Inspiration!  Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Okay.. let me explain.... LOL  This is my work in progress. I wanted to do a mini bag album with the Meljen's Nativity set. This is the first double page layout of this album. I decided to do some carols with it. On one side will be the words to a song and then the other page will be a photo layout. For this one the song is "Do You Hear What I Hear?". And the image is Nativity Shepherd's Sheep which you can of course find in the Meljen's Designs Shop!! Stay tuned for other pages as they come.. and when I finish it off I will send photos of the completed album and pages :) The image was colored with my Copic markers and a bit of decoupage done. Some of the papers were inked, others distressed. I used a border punch of stars on this page and used some of the punched out stars as embellishments as well. I also added some ribbon. The vines are Cheery Lynn die cuts and the banner is a Sizzix die cut. All of the papers are scraps from last years Christmas papers!

Whiff of Joy - Tag, You're It Tuesday!!.

Today is Tag, You're It Tuesday at Whiff of Joy!! Each Tuesday, one of the Whiff of Joy Design Team Members will find a creation from one of you and use that as her CASE to create from. Where do we find your projects? We look on the Facebook group, Pinterest, Instagram or those of you that are entering the Whiff of Joy challenges! If you are sharing a Whiff Of Joy project through social medias, please remember to tag with @whiffofjoy and we will find it!!

For this Tag, You're It Tuesday, I have chosen this beautiful creation from Ellabella:

I absolutely love her creation!! I fell in love with the design. I love the tall or long cards. I think they look great. I also love the layer of ribbons and the buttons! Absolutely love it!!! For CASEing this card I used the idea of the design as a whole. Love it!  And you should see all of Ellabella's creations! She is so talented!! So, here is what I came up with:

My color scheme is way different LOL I used one of my punches for the edge. I used a Spellbinders die for the flowers, I picked out lots of different ribbons and ric rac. I added pearls outside of the oval and at the bottom of the card. This is the first time that I have attempted to color pearls with my Copic markers and i LOVE it!! It colors so smoothly and evenly. I think they turned out great! I didn't have purple, so that was the option.. color! LOL  I used green gems for the inside of the oval. On the edge of the large oval and the small over I embossed with black embossing enamel and I inked the very edge as well. The sentiments are stamped. The centers for the two flowers AND the metal flower on the outside sentiment are all buttons as well as the obvious ones at the top of the oval. LOL! I cut out the two wands from a Silhouette Cameo cut. The ovals and the scalloped oval are all Spellbinders dies. The wonderful image is Merlin Henry which you can find at the Whiff of Joy shop. I colored him with my Copic markers. I did do a bit of decoupage... the hat, the outfit and part of the magic spell.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Hat and Robe: V15, V17, BV08
  • Henry: N0, N1, N3, N5, N9
  • Wand: N3, N5, N9
  • Tail: R20, R21, R22
  • Ear Pink: R20
  • Stars: Y15, Y19, Y38

Fantastic Friday!!!.

Yes!! Finally Friday! It has been a LONG week LOL  A LONG couple of weeks and I'm glad its coming to an end! Time to enjoy a nice weekend ... although they really go by quickly don't they!!  So, on to our challenge today.. Today is Challenge #93 at Delicious Doodles and our theme this week is Make A Scene (use a scenery image). Trying to work on Christmas cards again, I came up with this:

For this one I used A Robin's Christmas which you can find in the Delicious Doodles Store. I colored the image with Copic Markers. I printed them out in the different sizes and then layered them on top of each other. The papers are all scraps from making cards last year. I added the ribbon and the two snowflake stickers. The "Peace On Earth" is a Paper Smooches stamp. The label it is stamped on is cut with a Spellbinders die. I dry embossed the white background with my snowflake folder. And I added the clearish white almost icy looking Robin's Nest Dew Drops. On the inside I layered the paper and cut the bottom edge with one of my punches. I used the same embossing folder for the inside white paper on the back.

Copic:
  • Sky: BG90, BG93, BG96, BG99
  • Snow: B0000, B000, B00
  • Trees: G20, G24, G29
  • Red: R14, R46, R59
  • Black: C1, C3, C5, C7
  • Bird: E97, E08, E09, N1, N3, N5, N7, N9

Whiff of Joy New Release Preview 2.

Good morning everyone!!  Today I'm posting another preview of the Whiff of Joy new digital release. It is all about music and it is an amazing release. I love Henry!! Who doesn't??  And he is just as adorable as ever playing all of these musical instruments. Here is what I came up with for this card:

I colored the images with my Copic Makers. I did a bit of decoupage on Henry. I tried to show that a bit with some of the photos. I layered blue on the card and cut the bottom edge with a punch. On the inside I cut the right side with the same punch. I layered some light blue pearls in some of the bigger stars and along the front sentiment. There are several images on here from the new ones at Whiff of Joy. I used Henry Playing the Guitar, but I also used the Line of Notes, the two circles at the top right are colored with gold glitter marker and then I put Diamond Glaze on them. They are wonderful!. The microphone is another image, the front sentiment and the sentiment on the inside and the trumpet on the inside. All of those are images from the new digital release at Whiff of Joy. They are all fabulous!! I added the twine in the front with the musical note button in the middle of it. There are two shades of blue twine there. And that is my showcase for Whiff of Joy... Be sure to go over and see ALL of the new digital images in this release!!

Copic:
  • Henry: E51, E11, E13, E15, E35
  • Guitar: C3, C5, C7, C9, B24, B28, B39
  • Tail: R20, R21, R22
  • Trumpet: Y23, Y26, Y28, YR23
