Sweet Pea Stamps Progressive Challenge Part 2*

Good morning everyone :)  And a very happy Saturday! I am so happy the weekend is here! And it is a beautiful morning. It is so cool outside... I LOVE the cooler weather! We don't have any plans today. I'm hoping to just color and craft. We are going to go to the gym this morning. I'm taking my husband and my daughter with me. I have to go get some paint today too. But other than that there is nothing going on. I've told my son and my daughter that they are not to make any plans for today. They are to work on cleaning up their rooms and washing clothes and beds and such! That is it for us this weekend! :D  I hope you all have a great one!

Here is today's card:











This was completed as Part 2 of the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Progressive Challenge. I've used Gabriella Szab - How Do I Look which we were given if we completed Part 1 of the Progressive Challenge. I colored this one with my Prismacolor Pencils. I did a bit of layering as well. I have used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the card base and the different layers to this card. On the top I've added some gems on the side and a single flower. On the opposite side I've used an edge punch and added two layers in different papers. These papers are from a stack that I purchased from Michaels. The edges are all inked. On the bottom I stamped the scripture. The stamp is from Unity Stamps. I also added some gems to tie it in to the top of the easel.

Corn Sprite*

Good Morning everyone and a very happy Thursday! What is in store for your day? Me, I'll be working today. I was able to get the ATC finished yesterday, which I was hoping for. I love when things fall into place! Hopefully I will be able to get another card finished today or at least some coloring done.

Here is one from me today:








This image is from Aurora Wings and it is Corn Sprite. I colored this with my Prismacolor Pencils. I tried really hard to make a CAS card. And I REALLY stink at CAS. I try, but it just doesn't work well. I used a Spellbinders die to cut the green paper and a My Favorite things to cut the oval around the image. I added some twine and a button and printed the scripture on the front and the inside on vellum.

• I have been thinking and thinking about Opportunity and I couldn't come up with anything. Then I thought ... Opportunity.. what does that mean to me? And with the world the way it is today, I have to say that what Opportunity means to me is the opportunity to worship as I wish. I have the opportunity to be a Christian even though in the near future I may be prosecuted for this. I love my faith and I love being able to share my faith with others. I love being able to create cards that show scripture. That is what Opportunity means to me. And I think of those Christians that have been killed, persecuted and more and I hope that when that happens to me I will continue to be strong in my faith no matter what I face.

Strength and Dignity*

Good morning! The week started off much better than last week! It was a good day yesterday at work. I got a lot accomplished. I did the gym in the morning and at lunch.. so I got my time in and it felt good! Later in the afternoon I got a call from the high school that my son needed to come home because he has caught the stomach bug going around there. Oh fun! He did eat tonight though and seems to be doing okay.

Then, when I came home I got busy on the card I was working on and finished that! So overall, it was a really good day. Now I need to start coloring the next image. I don't think I'm going to get done all I want to get done this month. I'm so slow LOL  Coloring is slow, creating is slow! I'm just slow! There is no other way to say it.

I love A Day For Daisies images. She is just so delicate. I used Copic Markers to color this. I used Kraft paper for the base. This card was cut using the Silhouette Cameo. I added a bit of lace and put some twine over it. There is a bit of pearls added to the scripture that I arranged and printed. I added some pearls to the inside to finish it off.

Music Man ... errr.. Rat!*

Good morning! A very happy Friday to you!! I am working at home today and I have to try to get through a bunch of emails. I can't seem to make them go away! LOL  That is a big part of what I will be working on today. I've told my husband that he should go for a drive with his dad. It would be a good day for it. It would be more fun then sitting here watching me work! We will see what he decides to do :) I am so excited that the weekend is beginning! I have some serious coloring to do :)  Have a great Friday everyone!!

Here is my make for today:






I love different folds and I thought this was a fun one. I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut this. The image is from Whiff of Joy. I colored him with pencils.. who knows if it was the Prismacolor or Faber-Castell Polychromos. I really need to take better notes! I added some white highlighting to the instrument. The sparkly paper is from Michaels; I fell in love with it and I thought it would go perfectly some how with this image. I added the musical notes around the card. I also added a bit of stitching and the layered cut flowers; I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut these flowers. For the center I added a sparkly brad. I loved the scripture for this card, so I arranged and printed it for both sides. Hope you like it!

Dog and Cat BFF's!*

Good morning!! Monday just wasn't a very good day for me!!  I was a bit later to work than I wanted to be, so I could only walk for 30 minutes. I did walk my 45 minutes at lunch time though. At least I got that in. My pc would not turn on and I waited until almost 1:30 pm for someone to come out and remove the Novell that was messing it up. What a pain! So, I feel like I really didn't get anything accomplished yesterday at all!!  At least Monday is over and I can move on to Tuesday! Hopefully Tuesday will be a much better day. I hope you all have a wonderful day too!!

Here is my share for today:








For this one, the image has been waiting to be colored. This is a Tiddly Inks Image. I colored it with my pencils. I did a small amount of layering on this image as well. I can't remember who the image belongs to. The card was cut using the Silhouette Cameo. I think my favorite cuts are the card bases. I love being able to cut all sorts of shapes :)  Love it! I created the printed scripture. I added some gems and paw buttons to finish it off :)

November Cuddly Buddly.

Good morning!

Today I am sharing my second Cuddly Buddly post with you for November:






I decided to use the Budding Vine Corner from Lilyboo's Pretty Cottage. Once I had those colored up I knew that I wanted to do just a pretty simple card, but I needed some fantastic sentiment to go in the middle. And what better sentiment to put in the middle but a wonderful scripture!!  And then I found Kim MacFarlane's Holy Scriptures and I knew I had found what I wanted. I saw this scripture which she put into the shape of the Cross and I just LOVE it!! That is when it came together. I colored the corner with my Copic Markers. I added some stitching, some Embossing Enamel and the pearls. It is a pretty simple card for me, but I don't think its quite CAS. LOL  Oh well! Maybe it would be considered CAS to some? I'm not even sure! That is how CAS illiterate I am!! I also inked around the white paper with Rose ink. I layered the same papers on the inside and added some stitching and pearls to finish it off.

Vintage at Tammy's Scrapin Corner

Good morning everyone.

Our challenge this week is to make something Vintage. This is Challenge #64 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner.

For my card I used Placed On A Pedestal from A Day For Daisies. I colored the image with Copic. I designed the scripture myself to fit on the card. I inked with Distress Ink - Broken China and Tea Dye. I distressed all the edges. I used some lace from Webster's Pages. The flower was done with paper folding. You can find the tutorial at Desire's. The pearls are brads and they were from my stash.
