Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #10 - Thanks / Thanksgiving / Thank You

Good morning everyone and Happy 10th of October! Today is the start of the October Challenge #10 at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. This month we would like to see some Thanks, Thank You, even Thanksgiving cards.  We have some amazing sponsors this month.. as we do each month :)  Our sponsors for Challenge #10 are:

Please be sure to visit the fantastic sponsors and show them some love. Where would we be without our wonderful artists? And thank you sponsors for sponsoring with Open-Minded Crafting Fun. We truly appreciate you and all you do for our crafting community.

Wow.. it has been a while since I've been able to craft or post or anything. Working 60+ hours a week will do that to you I guess. I did manage to get this finished this month:

I have used Owl Bet It's Fall from The Stamping Boutique. I printed the image on kraft and conored with my Prismacolor Pencils. I used My Favorite Things die cuts for the shaker part at the bottom, the leaves and the oval around the image. I've added some inking on some parts of the card. Thanks So Much was stamped and then I also added some dew drops. I decorated the inside with additional inking and leaves. Thanks for taking a peak!

Open-Minded Winners Challenge #26 and Midway Challenge #27

Good morning everyone! What's been going on? We are well on our way in the process of purchasing a home! We will close on the 22nd of January. This weekend our plan is to get the kitchen packed up and only leave the bare medium out for us to use. Other than that, I'm hoping to craft!

Today is Saturday and our winners for Challenge #26 are posted this morning at Open-Minded Crafting Fun! That was our All White Challenge and our sponsors for Challenge #26 were Digital Delights, Jessica Weible Illustrations, Paper Pretties, Sami Stamps and Sassy Studio Designs. Be sure to check out our Winners and DT Favorites!

And we are on a midway post for Challenge #27: New Years Resolutions!! You still have a week to get in our first challenge of 2015!! Our sponsors for Challenge #27 are:

I love our sponsors! And I want to thank our wonderful sponsors for everything they do!!

Here is my project for Challenge #27:

For the Midway Challenge #27 I have created this Cascade Card! I chose to do a Christmas Card for my New Years Resolutions. I have three of them! One is to start shopping for Christmas gifts starting at the beginning of the year! I want to purchase Christmas gifts all through the year so it doesn't hit us all at once at the beginning of the year! So, that is one New Years Resolutions! The second one is to work on Christmas Cards all year long! I think I did okay last year getting a bunch of Christmas cards done through the year and I want to stay on track and do it again this year! So, this is my start! First Christmas card of 2015! And the third one is to use a LOT of my scrap papers this year! I have a ton of scraps and I want to get through a bunch of them! For this card I have used ALL scraps except for the base of the card!  So there you have it... Three New Years Resolutions to work on this year!! :)

For this card I've used Little Present from Zuri Artsy Craftsy Digital Stamps! i colored her with both my Copic Markers and my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol, with a bit of Copic Opaque White for highlights.. I had a lot of fun making this Cascade card. This is the fist time I've created one of these! I've used a couple of different Spellbinders circles dies. I did a bit of decoupage on her as well. I added the holly swirl from Cheery Lynn. And the green and red gems around the circle. The fabric holly leaves were from a Challenge win! I stamped the Merry Christmas, which is from Paper Smooches, twice and put them on the different layers of the card. And that is it! I hope you join us for our challenge!!

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
  • Hair: E21, E25, E27, E29

Open-Minded Winners and DT Favorites for Challenge #21 and Midway for Challenge #22.

Good morning everyone! I'm back again with my 2nd post of the day. That doesn't happen too much... I'm way too slow at making cards for that to happen LOL I hope you all have a great weekend! It is COLD here this morning... LOVING it!!!

This morning you will find the winners and DT favorites posted for Challenge #21 posted at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. Amazing entries from everyone! I love seeing them all!!! At noon you can head back over to see additional creations from the Design Team for our Midway post for Challenge #22. We have some awesome sponsors!! Challenge #22 - Halloween OR Dressing Up is being sponsored by:

I LOVE our sponsors!! Each and every one of them! They are extremely generous to give what they do. So Thank you sponsors!!  You are wonderful!!!

This is Deer Girl from Flat Friends Boutique. I used her as my dress up choice. That way I could make some Christmas tags! She was colored .. both of them... with my Copic Markers. No decoupage on these... I decided to make two different tags. The tags were cut using the Silhouette Cameo. The little reindeer at the bottom and the snowflakes are all stickers. On the one I outlined the gifts and on the other I added the wire and bell. Thats pretty much it. Thought I might use these for Christmas Gift Tags :)  They are big, but who cares LOL

Copic Markers Used:
  • Boots, Antlers and Deer: E34, E35, E37
  • Sweater: R24, R35, R46, R59

  • Hair: Y21, Y26, YR24, E25, E29

Tuesday Throwdown in July - Week 3.

Good morning everyone! This is my 2nd post for today. This is the Tuesday Throwdown post. This is my third week as a Guest Designer for them. It has been a thrill. I have a couple of more weeks to go. I really appreciate the opportunity!  This week the theme for Challenge #204 is Take Us On Vacation:

For this challenge I used Beach Baby from The Stamping Boutique.I colored her with my Copic markers. I did a bit of decoupage to her. I popped her and the sandcastle. I used chalk on the sky. I created the sentiment myself and added the gems. I also added the banners and the little bucket, ball and sandals. I also added gems to the inside to finish it off. I thought it worked alright for a nice Summery Birthday!

Copic:
  • Blue Swim Suit: B02, B04, B06, B16
  • Shovel: Y11, Y15, Y19

Snowman Laundry.

Good morning everyone!! And happy Tuesday.. is it really only Tuesday??!!?? LOL  o.0  So, I've been thinking over the past few days about trying to put my cards online to sell. I figure I will give my family the website with the hope that they will pass it on LOL  I have no idea how to do this or if it will work. I'm going to start a shop at Zibbet I think. So, if you have any advice at all.. please share!! LOL

Keep posting the cards I managed to get done ;)  Here is my next share...

This is an image from The Stamping Boutique. I absolutely LOVE their laundry line images LOL They are too cute! I want them all! I made the image quite large, so it's a pretty simple card. I used papers from My Minds Eye - Winter Wonderland. I thought those little snowmen were just perfect LOL I colored up the image with my Prismacolor pencils... you will notice that a LOT of these cards coming up are colored with my Prismacolor pencils. I have had these printed out for ages on art paper and I finally got around to coloring them all up with my pencils. And it was so fun.. I love my Prismacolor pencils and my Gamsol! Of course I did a bit of decoupage LOL  I popped the sticks holding the line, the front of the scarf, .. Okay.. I popped everything except for the back of the scarf LOL!  I also added three snowflake eyelets .. yep.. that's what I said! Eyelets!! Remember those?? LOL  And the snow was with my Snow Marker by Marvvy. I LOVE that thing so much!! You put it on, heat it up and poof! You have awesome snow or hat puffy-ness! Really great! So thats it. I added the snow at the bottom and the little bit in the middle.

Okay everyone.. don't forget to go over to Open-Minded Crafting Fun and apply for that Design Team!!!  Go now!! Hurry!! ;)  Yes.. I will be reminding you every day!!

Top Tip Tuesday: I found that when I color with Copic markers, it looks better if I use chalk for the blushing of cheeks and such. It looks much softer and blends more.
