Christmas Baubles*

Good morning everyone!! It has been a busy time. Lots of running around with my husband, picking up kids, taking kids, work and crafting and all that stuff. Nothing like being a mother/taxi LOL!!  And Christmas is coming up so quickly.  I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! Wow!!  It just seems like this year has flown by. I'm off to work here in a minute. I have to try to beat the rain since I'm riding the bike. I have to get all rain geared up first :)  I have a feeling I will be soaked through on the way home LOL Rain gear or no rain gear! Maybe it will be gone by the time I leave this afternoon; we will see!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and rest of your week! My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been involved in any kind of terrorist act of any kind all over the world. I pray that no more will happen. I also pray for those poor souls that don't like that I'm a Christian and put mean, nasty, foul comments on my Facebook. I'm sorry you feel the need to curse me because you don't feel the same way I do. But... that is what we are ... not all the same and not all having the same views. It is just sad you have to strike out with hatred and foul language. But... I hope you have a wonderful day too! :)  *hugs* to you all!!

Here is my card for today:

For this card I've used Christmas Glitter Shoujo from Lemon Shortbread. I just think she is so adorable! I've colored her with my Copic Markers and Ive done a small amount of layering. I've added some 3D paint to the sparkles along with some gold and silver Wink of Stella to add some glittery spots. I've used clear Wink of Stella on the baubles to add some glitter to them. I've also added some glitter to the white part of the sleeves, the puffs in her hair and on her dress and on the white belt part of her dress. I've hammered down a bottle cap and placed the circle sentiment inside it. Then I covered it with Diamond Glaze. The background of the image I used colored pencils - Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. All of the papers are scraps and I added three types of ribbons behind the image and on the inside as well. I've also added a few gems at the top.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Eyes: B02, B26
  • Lips: R22, R24, R27
  • Shirt, Scarf, Ribbons and Ornaments: R20, R22, R24, R29, R59

Fairy Magic*

Good evening! And a very happy Thursday, almost Friday! I have had such a productive week at work. It has been a really good week. Tomorrow, Bailey has a mandatory Spring Lacrosse meeting at 7:45 am. Then she has a doctor appointment. Then it is off to school for her and I have some work to get done. And it is Friday tomorrow! That is fantastic! Time for the weekend again! We don't really have any plans for the weekend. Her coach said something about a team needing a goalie. She gave the coach Bailey's email, but she hasn't heard from them, so we will see. Other than that it will be Hallmark Christmas movies and crafting LOL!!  My family is already sick of Hallmark. I'm not sure if we have a V8 race this weekend, but from Scott McLaughlin's posts, I'm thinking there is no race this weekend. No V8's and no MotoGP .... that means crafting and movies or crafting and music.  I hope you all have a great rest of your evening and a great day!!

Here is my card for today:

For this card I have used Fairy Magic from All Dressed Up. I've colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils. The background I used a dark grey pencil and Gamsol. I also used some blue Wink of Stella on the wings and on the edge of the blue butterfly. I also used some pink Wink of Stella on the edges of the pink butterflies and also on the Fairy Magic. The circle around the image was cut using a Spellbinders Die and the small butterflies.. I think they were a Spellbinders die ... but it could have been a My Favorite Thing too. I can't remember. I've added some pearls to the butterflies. Around the circle are some glass beads and then I also added the lace.

January Cuddly Buddly

Good morning everyone! It is FREEZING outside!  No riding my bike today... a bit too cold for that! So, I had to pile in the van and get to work that way instead. I love riding the Bergman to work every day! I hate that it's too cold - 12˚ F or -11.1˚ C! Tomorrow it's suppose to be 20˚ F (-6.6˚ C), so we will try that. With my heated gloves I should be good!

What has been going on with everyone? Here we have been working on buying a home. We put in an offer on a house, but so did an investor. The investor's offer was accepted, but they asked us to sign as a back up in case anything happened with the investor. So, we agreed and we kept looking for a house. Well... the investor ended up backing out! So, we have been busy as can be negotiating repairs and the contract on the house. They accepted everything last night and we are REALLY happy with what they have agreed to. So, we are well on our way! We should be closing on the 22nd of January. We still have rent at our current place through February, so that gives us plenty of time to get moved over and all the little touch ups we need to do at the rental.. filling picture holes and such. We are really excited! The kids will be changing schools, so I have that all lined up. I go to their schools the first week in February to get that all situated! We have been SO busy though! What a way to start the New Year! We are so happy and blessed!

Okay... on to why you are really here :)  Today I am sharing my first January post for Cuddly Buddly!

For this card I used Best Buddies Just To Say - Pachela Studios Digi Stamps which you can find in the Cuddly Buddly Shop! I just LOVE these images! They are so perfect to decoupage! Just LOVE them!!  So many layers... really easy to layer!

I colored the image with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I used some Copic Opaque White for some highlights. The Good Luck stamped on the sign was from Paper Smooches. I added the white net ribbon and the white sparkle fiber. I also added a few pearls.I have no idea who the papers are from. They were in my stash.

Winners and Rolling Out The Red Midway Post at Open-Minded Crafting Fun!.

Good morning! And a very happy Saturday!! The kids are in Atlanta with my sister. They went to stay with her yesterday for Midtown Atlanta. It's a big music festival in Atlanta. They are very excited! It started on Friday and goes through Saturday. This morning I am up at the crack of dawn to head to Atlanta to grab Bailey though. She has her first Lacrosse game today and it is an hour away! That is the furthest game though and the majority of them are at the high school here or close by. So, that will be my day; getting her to her game and then getting her back to my sisters! It is gorgeous in the mornings though so it will be a great ride!! Other than that... Thursday the boys both had eye appointments... and on Friday it was the girl's turn. I did go with Kevin and Michael on Thursday and then Bailey and I headed back Friday morning. Now it is the weekend.. time to relax and create!!  Have a great weekend everyone!!

This morning you will find the Winners and DT Picks at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. Then at noon you will find the midway post with additional inspiration from the team!! Our sponsors for Challenge #19: Roll Out The Red are:

We are so blessed with amazing sponsors! And I can't thank them enough!!  Be sure to visit them to show your support!  Where would be without our amazing artists who create amazing images so we can in turn create our crafts!!

Okay.. on to my creation for our Roll Out The Red Midway:

For this one I created a little gift card holder box using my Cameo!  Have I told you how much fun I'm having with it? LOL!!!  For the top I used a Stitchy Bears image - Apple Pie and I colored it my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I did a little bit of decoupage on it. I cute the apple with the Cameo and used all scrap papers from my fall papers from last year. The die cut used to cut the image is a Spellbinders die. I added some red chalk around the edge of that die. I used two different stamps to stamp inside the apple and I stitched around the edge of that top paper. I added the patterned papers around the edge and you can see the inside holds a card.

We have some AMAZING sponsors! Please be sure to give them some love. They really make our challenge great! Along with all of you that play along :)

Here is what I created:

I used the image Lemons from Oak Pond Creations. I thought it was a perfect way to make a summery card.I created the sentiment, When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade. The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I decoupaged the top two lemons. The rectangle stamp die cut is My Favorite Things and the oval is Spellbinders. I added the little flowers and the sequins. I inked the inside edge of the rectangle die cut with the yellow ink by leaving the die cut attached to the paper.  Well.. that's it from me! I can't wait to the rest of the amazing creations you guys enter. There are already some amazing projects!!!

Freebie Challenge / Beach At The East Wind.

Kyra has done it again! An amazing freebie image! Aurora is ready for the beach and she is just beautiful! Today is the 1st and we are beginning our Challenge #12 Freebie Challenge with a theme of Beach at The East Wind. Aurora Bubble Gum and Mint Chocolate... isn't she great! I love her!  Here was my take on this challenge:

I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I did a small amount of decoupage; her hat rim and her ice cream cone. The papers I used are from Club Scrap... I LOVE their papers. I really need to start that again! I miss getting my pizza box! I added the corners (Spellbinders) which I cut with black cardstock. The butterflies (Spellbinders) I cut the background with the black cardstock and then I used the other papers for the top. I also added pearls to the middle of each of those butterflies. I added two different ribbons, two of the same, that I tied around the middle strip. I added gems to the bottom half of the scalloped edged papers. I also added inking on the edges of the image and stitching around the image. On the inside I stitched around three sides of the cardstock and added some silver puff paints on the scalloped edge. I also added the small black butterflies with the pearls on them as well.   I stamped Birthday Greetings. And I believe that is it. She is just wonderful! I love her!
