Christmas at Crafting By Designs

Can you believe it is already November 25th!!  that is shocking! Today is my son's birthday... he is 17 today. He gets to work on his birthday LOL  But I think he is happy about it!  More attention that way LOL  He also works tomorrow, but it is later so we get to have Thanksgiving Lunch together and then he will go off to work.  So that is our next couple of days. And I do not go out on Black Friday. That means I will enjoy my day inside crafting. And Thanksgiving day we will turn the tv on to the parades and then some Christmas Hallmark movies LOL My family is sick of them already! It will be a great rest of the week. I have some Christmas gifts to work on!

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe week ahead. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the USA. Happy crafting!!

I have done a Christmas card for Crafting By Designs. Here is my card today:

For this Christmas card I have used Aurora Woods from Ching-Chou Kuik. I've colored her up with my Copic markers and I've used a little bit of Copic Opaque White as well. For the rest of the card I have used scraps of white card stock and lace. I did a bit of embossing with two different folders. I did a bit of layering of the image and I hope you can see it well enough in the photos. I was going to just leave it as an ATC, but I decided to put it on a card instead.

Copic Markers Used:

Autumn Splendor.

Hi Everyone!  It has been a nice day. I don't think I've left the house today. I got two cards completed. My oldest daughter came for a visit. She hung out with her sister and brother. That is always nice. I love when she comes and hangs out with them. It was a good, happy, crafty day :)  I'm hoping for another of pretty much the same tomorrow :)

Here is my card:

This is Autumn Fantasy from Ching-Chou Kuik. I just love this image! I colored her with Copic Markers. I decided to try something new and I used watercolors for the background. That was kind of fun! What else... I did a small bit of layering. I added some Wink of Stella clear to her eyes, the cats's eyes and wings and the leaves at the top. I did some distressing on the patterned paper. I inked all of the edges. I used an embossing folder on kraft and then inked those leaves a bit with Sepia. I also added some stitching around that layer. I added some ribbon and some dew drops. The You're Special stamp is Paper Smooches. On the inside I used a My Favorite Things rectangle die on the patterned paper and inked all the papers.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
  • Hair: Y11, Y18, YR04, YR07, R24, R29, R59

Fin-Tastic Birthday Mermaid*

Happy Tuesday Morning! Well... we got through Monday, so that is saying something! It was a Monday too!  Wow! Just one of those days.. Busy! Bailey stayed home yesterday not feeling well. I'm wondering if she has strep throat. We will see how she feels when she wakes and we may go in for a strep test. Michael has to go in this morning for a vaccine booster, which means that he will be late to school. Then when he gets out of school it is right on to work. They have him scheduled for 4:00 pm; he doesn't even get off the bus until 4:15 pm HAHA! Great planning on their part. I'm working from home today and I have a lot to get done. I'm hoping the nurse visit will be quick and I can get back home. Have a great day everyone!

Here is my Birthday creation for today:

This is my blue monochrome creation using Embrace the Ocean from Ching-Chou Kuik. I colored the image with my Faber-Castell Pencils. I added some clear Wink of Stella to her hair. The bubbles were cut from a Sizzix die. The rectangle right under the image is cut from a My Favorite Things die. The wave die cut at the bottom is from Memory Box. For the background around her I used several shades of blue watercolor pencils. I used blue Wink of Stella on the bubbles and then covered them with Diamond Glaze. I used paint for the pearls around her. I added some blue tulle under the image. I also added some different shades of blue dew drops. On the top I added some ribbon and a seahorse charm hanging from the handmade bow.

Floral ATC*

Good morning! Saturday was a pretty lazy day. We did go out in the morning to Goodwill and then to pick up some dog treats. The rest of the day I colored and created. It was a good day. Today, we will be going to church a bit later, but I plan to have another day of rest and creating. I'm hoping to get a bit more coloring done and if I'm lucky, another card or two. If I'm lucky! LOL  We will see how that goes. I hope you all have a blessed Sunday and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Today I'm sharing an ATC I finished up with:

I had so much fun with this image! This is Keep In Faith from Ching-Chou Kuik. I colored this image with my Copic Markers. I did a little bit of layering on the image. I layered the flowers and branches. I added a little bit of clear Wink of Stella on her eyes. The swirls are die cut with a Cheery Lynn die and the butterfly is a die, but I'm not sure who that die belongs to. I added yellow glitter to the butterfly die and some blue pearls. The sunflowers at the top are cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I used all scraps for this. The ATC was cut using Kraft and then I used a scrap of dark blue and distressed the edge of that paper. I added a white doily which is under the flowers and butterfly towards the top. I added some Distress ink around the edge of the doily. Thanks for looking!!

Copic Colors Used:
  • Hair: B02, B23, B24, B28, YR20, YR21, YR24
