Challenge #156 At Meljen's Design

Welcome to Thursday :)  We begin a new challenge at Meljen's Designs today and it is Challenge #156 - Recycle. Here is my card for this challenge:

The image I used is Teddy Bear Couple. For my "Recycle" I used a bottle cap. I added small beads to the inside around the edge and in the middle after I added the "Happy Anniversary" sentiment. I covered all of that with Diamond Glaze. I added the ribbon to finish it off. The green paper layered underneath is all wrinkled up. Everything is colored with Copic. I had a blast coloring this image! And the inside is from a rubber stamp from Club Scrap.

This has been a week... I had to move from my super cushy corner closet at work LOL It was literally a supply closet that they put me in and it was my little sanctuary for a couple of years. Oh, I loved my little quiet space away from everyone. But, as we have run out of space and continued to hire a bunch of chiefs, I have been moved out and into a cubicle. Everyone is so loud and rude LOL But then... I'm just bitter because I had to move to a much more populated, loud and not so private area. I will adjust, but until then I will complain a little LOL About people sneaking up behind you and just standing there all creeper like! I brought a mirror in so I could see them coming up behind me! Okay.. I'm done venting :p  Like I said.. I will adjust.. after I put some beads up in my doorway LOL!!! Alright.. I'm really done :p  Alright everyone!! Get busy with the challenge this week :)  I can't wait to see some great designs!!

Spring Has Sprung at Tammy's Scrapin Corner

Challenge #58 is beginning today at Tammy's Scrapin Corner!! The theme for this challenge is Spring Has Sprung! And it certainly has!! I am thoroughly enjoying this weather! Here is my card for this challenge:

For this challenge I did a Tri-Shutter card! I love these cards!! They are fun to make and I think they really look nice!! I used all scraps on this card and they were all scraps from My Little Shoebox. I added swirls, paper flowers from My Little Shoebox as well. The leaves are a die from My Favorite Things. The sentiment is from Sentimental Susan. The image is from SKDigis - Flower Gang. I LOVE this image and I thoroughly enjoyed coloring it and popping the flowers!. I added stickles onto the flowers as well.I used the gem swirls in the middle of the card, top and bottom. I added rhinestone gems (clear) to the centers of the paper flowers on the back side of the card. I also chalked the leaves to add some dimension. All of the papers were distressed on the edges and I used several different colors to ink the edges of the sentiments. All those inks were Distress Inks. I used Copic to color up the image on this. I really love how it turned out with the spring colors, the awesome image and the fun sentiments!

At the Movies @ Crafting When We Can

Good morning everyone!! This beautiful Sunday beings Challenge #42 at Crafting When We Can. This challenge is "At The Movies". What a fantastic theme! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!  Here is my card for this challenge:

My movie theme is "Mary Poppins". I used a Sassy Studio Designs image - Mary Poppins. I used a Memory Box swirl. I used an edge punch on the blue. I took the pieces that were punched out and used them as accents as well. I used blue and red rhinestones as accents. I distressed the edges of the black paper. The sentiment is from Sentimental Susan. I popped some of the image as well. The image was colored with Copic.

Scrap Room and Shelf!!

Good morning everyone :) Okay... I'm going to share the photos of my scrap room! I love being in this house and I love having this room to scrap! And I love having Kevin near me when he is on the pc :)  Okay... here we go:

This is the room from different views. I love having all the shelving for everything! Kevin set up my desk and then made a desk for his laptop. He also mounted a tv right there. How wonderful is that! LOL I wake up in the morning and walk right out here to my work laptop and my scrap supplies! I love it!!

Here is awesome shelf that Kevin made me. I told him that I wanted to be able to see all my wooden stamps so I could use them. They have been in a huge plastic container and to find anything I would sit there for 30 minutes going through them to find anything. There are so many stamps I would use, but I didn't because of how they were stored. So this is what he put together for me. He may even add shelves in between these! Now they are all lined up and I can see them and find them so much easier! I LOVE it!! And I love him so much... he is so good to me :)  And so supportive of my crafting :)  and gardening LOL and book reading and any other hobbies I throw in there LOL! :)  He is the best!!  Okay... here is the shelf!!

Tammy's Scrapin Corner has a New Recipe Challenge For You

Happy Monday everyone!! Today beings a new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner!! We have Challenge #57 which is a Recipe Challenge: 1 Image, 2 Dies and 3 Embellishments. Here is my creation for this challenge:

For this one I used an awesome image from QKR Stampede - Totally In Love. I used Copic to color the image and it was a really fun image to color! They are just too cute!! So, my 1 Image is the QKR image, 2 Dies are two different Cheery Lynn Dies - Mini Fanciful Flourish and Fanciful Flourish and 3 Embellishments are brads, charm and twine. I can't wait to see what everyone makes!! This was a fun, easy recipe!! Have fun with it!! The papers are all from my stash and I have no idea what they are from. The flourishes were cut out of sparkly paper. The sentiment is a stamp from K. Andre Designs. I LOVE the texture on the snails LOL I think they are so cute!! And this is a Center Step Card! Alright... Your turn!! Let's see what you've got!!!

Another good day yesterday!! It was really a fantastic weekend.. the temperature was perfect!!! We went out on the bike again yesterday. We found this little restaurant on the lake. We had a burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had! It was really fantastic. It was a GORGEOUS day for a ride too!! Now it's time to head to work soon yet again!! The weekends really go by too quickly!! The kids are out of school this week for Spring Break. We aren't going anywhere, so it will be a week at home. I have some chores for them to do each day, but not too much. They can just relax and have a good week away from school. Alright... I hope you all have a great day!! I'm going to try to get a post for tomorrow showing the room and the awesome shelves hubby made me :)  It's going to be a beautiful week here!  Good luck everyone!! I can't wait to see your projects!! We will be off to church soon. Yesterday, I worked on the garden a bit and got Michael to mow the grass and Bailey planted fliers.  Kevin and I went for a bit of a ride on the motorcycle. It was a beautiful day for a ride, so we went down to the Harley shop. Since the kids helped out in the yard, I went over and grabbed the stuff to make S'Mores. We have a small fire pit in the backyard. I lit the fire pit and we gathered around and made S'mores and roasted marshmallows. Kevin didn't like the S'mores OR the roasted marshmallows LOL We got some photos and I will have to share them. Also, Kevin made me a shelf to put my wooden stamps on. I mentioned to him this morning that I would love to have my wooden stamps out so I could see them and use them more often. Its fantastic! I took photos. I will post the photos of the shelf, the scrap room and the S'mores party later in the week :) I hope you all have a great Sunday!!!
