Challenge #9 at The East Wind.

Good morning everyone!! Today is the 15th, which means we are starting a new challenge at The East Wind. Wow!!!  I LOVED everyone's creations for our Embossing Challenge!!!  Keep them coming!! Our theme for Challenge #9 is Bling!  Here is what I've done:

For this card I used Christmas Tree with Sexy Girl from The East Wind. I wanted to do another Christmas card. I colored her with my Copic Markers. I decoupaged her in front of the gifts. I added glitter for the tinsel around the tree, a little bit of glitter for the lights on the tree the flower on her headband, and a little bit of yellow glitter on the star. I used quite a few different dies on this card. Some swirls from Cheery Lynn and the rest are Spellbinders. I added inking around the edges of all of the papers and then the stitching, gems for the berries and the white dew drops. The sentiments on the front and inside are from Paper Smooches. The papers are all Echo Park This & That.

Happy Birthday!! :) and My Very first Whiff Of Joy Post!.

Today is my husbands birthday :)  So, for his birthday I made him this card. This is also my first Whiff Of Joy post! I loved working with this image.. and since Kevin's birthday is in January I found it very fitting to make it into a birthday card. Couldn't come on a colder day either!! Brrrr...

This was so fun! For this one I used Whiff of Joy - Freezing Friends. I colored this image with my Prismacolor pencils. I colored the image twice so that I could decoupage pieces of the image. I used my snowflake embossing folder for the white background. All of the papers are from Echo Park Paper Company and it from the Winter Park set of papers by Lori Whitlock. I distressed the edges of the papers on the inside. I added a little bit of stickles on the snow on the ground and the snowman. I used my snow marker.. I love that thing! for the hats. I popped parts of the scarfs, the snowmans buttons and nose and Henry's arm and gift. I also added those little wooden snow flakes. Hope you like it!!!  And I hope Kevin does as well!! ;)

Winter Fun Mailbox.

It's finally Friday!! Woohoo!!Are you ready for the weekend?  LOL  I love the weekend! Why can't the weekend be 5 days and the week 2? I don't understand! Alright.. enough of that ;)  Here is the last card that I have finished of the ones that I have colored. I have some more colored up, just need to get busy making them into cards now :)

For this card I used another Meljen's Design image ;)  This one is Cheery Lights Mailbox. This is all colored up with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The papers are Echo Park. I added the stamping, snowflakes and Winter Fun. I added the pearls, the corner punch and the ribbon. I also added the snow with my Marvvy Snow Marker... can you tell I love that thing? LOL  I got it at Michaels if you are ever looking! It was near the fabric paint. I decoupaged the bird and the top of the mailbox. The sketch was a Sunday Sketch & Stamp sketch, but it was too late to enter ;)

Thanks Pup {Card}

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you all have had a great week. It has been a long week for me and I haven't gotten any crafting done at all. I finally sat down tonight and got something done. Ya me!! LOL The positive thing about this past week was that I really got a LOT done at work and have managed to get ever so much closer to being caught up. A little bit to go, but I can see an end and that is some major progress!! It is amazing what someone that can help you out does to your work load!!

Immigration... We couldn't find my marriage certificate, so I had to send away for that. I sent the request overnight with a return overnight back to me. It is on its way to Kevin now and hopefully he will have it this week. The attorney did say that we can mail it without it, so I'm thinking we will get it out in the mail on Kevin's Tuesday... which is our Monday evening. I just want it to get there so we can get this last portion over with and get him home.  So, that is where we are there :)

This morning after Kevin went to bed, I went and laid back down.. I slept until almost noon!!! GEEZ!!! What the heck!! LOL I guess I was tired. And then Taylor was down from the college and stayed until after 4 pm. I think I was sort of pushing her out at that point. I was ready to sit down and start making something LOL My whole day was lost! So here is what I finally was able to come up with.

The image is Scruff and Bone from Just Ink Lined. Oh boy.. I could go crazy in their shop... I love so many of their images. I couldn't be happier when I found it!! LOVE that place!!! I've had the image done for a while... I did a bunch of images and have been trying to get them into cards LOL What I used:
Copic: C1, C3, C5, C7, E40, E41, E43, E33, E35, B0000, B02, R20, R21, R22
I used Diamond Glaze on the nose and slobber. I popped part of his face so he looked like he was holding the bone in his mouth and the slobber. Papers are all scraps. The pattered papers are from Echo Park. I used some Splatter Ribbon/Mesh and a brown ribbon that I had in my stash. The "Thanks Ever So Much" stamp is from Paper Smooches, Pretty Phrases. This was the first time I used my bow maker from 3 Girl Jam too! It was a little bow.. but wow.. I love it!! So much easier than me trying to do it with my flintstone fingers LOL

Taylor Off To College... OSAAT Challenge #127

Good morning everyone! Today begins a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time! The theme for Challenge #127 is Back To School. I used Image 'Yo' by Barbara Jensen.

I used several different papers and lettering. I colored the image with my Prismacolor Pencils. The papers are Numbers and Letters by Echo Park, Composition Book by Pinecone Press Papers, I don't know what the grid paper is.. but I love it. The card is made of Kraft. The ruler was on one of the papers and I punched the two holes in it. The "Back" was from some stickers from Michaels Reflections line. The '2' is a Thicker and the School was a random item from my stash. I also used Gamsol on my coloring to help blend. I popped the letters and numbers paper and I also popped the image and then I pieced the hand and popped it out a bit more. I love this image.. I think she is adorable. Thanks for taking a look! I can't wait to see what you can come up with now!

Challenges:

Friday morning I took my oldest to college. We went to Walmart to pick up a few last minute things for her and then headed on our way to Dahlonega, Georgia. It was a good ride up. Takes us about an hour and a half to two hours I guess. The school is North Georgia College and State University. They are changing their name to North Georgia University soon I believe. So, she moved into the dorms on Friday. She starts classes either Monday or Tuesday. Her roommate seems really nice. She is from North Georgia and she has some ribbons from showing sheep and cow. She is also good at English, her mother is a high school english teacher, she is a nursing major. Taylor should be able to help her some of the medical stuff and hopefully Taylor can get some help from her on the english/writing side of things. Should be a good trade off. I met her parents. They were very country and really nice. They are all snug and tight in that dorm room! I really hope that she will enjoy her time at school and really focus on doing what she needs to do.

Her friend is up there with her as well as her boyfriend. I'm not really keen on her friend.. never have been. This girl is obsessed with Edgar Allen Poe, she is a very dark person. Taylor and I went to lunch and she said that she couldn't wait to meet this girls roommate. She said if she is a good, god fearing girl (not in so many words) that her friend will go way out of her way to scare her, even bringing out her demonology book. I looked at Taylor and said.. And you wonder why I have never liked your friend. Anyway... God has already intervened in her life and she doesn't realize it. She is in a separate dorm from her friend and her boyfriend. She will be able to get to know new people. She doesn't have the same classes as her friend or boyfriend either. So their schedules will be different and they will not have a lot of time to hang out. God is wonderful. I will keep her in my prayers. I hope that she will do well.

This is Taylor in her dorm trying to unpack and get her stuff where it needs to go.

This is right outside of her dorm; looking at her building.

This is looking right down the middle. They are really crammed in there.

This is Taylor's side of the room.. her bed and then underneath is her desk and the two three drawer dressers stacked on top of each other. They each have a wardrobe too and her roomate brought a futon which is under her bed on the other side. And the little fridge near the door.

Happy Oh My Goodness Middle of the Week!

Yay! Wednesday Evening.. I'm so glad! It has been year end at work and the gals in Accounting have been driving me crazy for the last couple of days. I have concentrated on what they have needed for the last three days and everything else.. well.. we will just say it is piling up LOL! REALLY piling up! Emails unanswered, people dropping things off and stacking them up on my desk. I almost snapped at a couple of people today! Everything needs what they need NOW! Well.. I wasn't having any of that.. so I just told them they would have to wait. I tried to do it in a nice.. I'm sorry you just aren't that important right now in this moment of time way LOL But now it is over and I can spend the next couple of days trying to get caught up.. Yay me! *cry* *wimper*

I have been working on a card.. last night, this morning. I finished it this morning and I was going to do a post before I left for work but I had already taken my camera down to the van LOL Yes.. I carry it everywhere! To and from work... out to the store.. running down the street! You never know when you will see something you absolutely have to take a photo of! Like on my way home today.. there was this ITTY bitty most adorable bunny on the side of the road.. had to be a baby he was so tiny munching at the grass. Problem is.. I drove right by him and thought.. I will turn around and be right back.. just have to grab Bailey.. So a couple of minutes later I was headed back towards that baby and he was gone! Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!  Why oh why did I just not pull over and grab photos while I could *shaking my head* That will teach me!

So here is my card:

I used scraps and my little 6x6 Echo Park Paper Hello Summer that I received as a blog hop gift. I really love those patterned papers. I also used Silhouette dies for my scalloped circles. I used my sewing maching ..  I was playing around with some of the settings on it LOL Miscellaneous ribbons in my stash. I inked around the scalloped circles and used Butterscotch and Sailboat Blue Adirondack Color Wash on the silhouette digi stamp in the middle. That stamp is from Bugaboo Stamps.

Challenge entries:

I really need some more Thank You cards! Have a great rest of your night or rest of your day depending on where you are in the world! :)
