A Spring In Her Step

Good morning everyone! And Happy Sunday!! Can you believe it is half way through March already! Wow!!  We have had a busy weekend so far! Bailey was goalie for the U13 girls game on Saturday at 11:30 am. We were there at 9:30 am to get a little time i. This was only her 2nd game in the goal and she loves it! She had 11 saves! It was a tough game.. the other team was pretty darn good. They took a loss today. Bailey is doing so well in goal though! I'm so proud of her. Last night we went and did some more practice with her... Kevin was directing her a bit. It was good to all be out there.

Okay.. on to our challenge! We are on Challenge #27 at The East Wind and the theme is 'A Spring In Her Step' (spring themed). This is a birthday card, but I went with spring colors:

I used the image Hybiscus for this challenge. You can find that in The East Wind Shop. I went with greens and pinks. I added the crinkle ribbon and some dew drops. I also added some sequins in pink and green. I added a bunch of flowers in the bottom corner. On one of the layers I added some stitching. The  dies are Spellbinders. I colored the image with my Copic Markers. I also did a bit of stamping and some stitching too; That's it!

Copic Markers Used:
  • Eye: Y06, YG06, BG01, BG05, BG49, B39
  • Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13

Faery Ink March Inspiration

Good morning everyone! It has been a busy week... between doctor appointments, Kevin taking his driver's test, Lacrosse with Bailey and more! LOL  It has been super busy!  Still have a busy Friday and Saturday too .. and Sunday I think! Well.. Hopefully today I can relax a bit! And I can't think of anything more fun to do on my birthday than to share a Faery Ink creation!

Today I am sharing my Faery Ink inspiration post with you for March. Since I was not around in February, I wanted to use one of the new images from February, Autumn Rose Tea Witch. Here is what I have done with her:

I really wanted to do something unique with her, so I went with a shaped card. I love this cute from The Cutting Cafe. Everything was cut using my Cameo. I added a lot of details to this as well. I started off with the image and colored her up with my Prismacolor Pencils. I am having a lot of fun learning more layering with my pencils and experimenting with the different colors blending together. I love how her hair turned out! I did a bit of layering with the image. The I started cutting my pieces for the card. I have used a bunch of scraps on this card! All scraps as a matter of fact. I also used some glitter. I used some purple glitter on the spider and the legs. I used some black glitter for the belt, the show belt and the show heels. The buckles were all cut with gold paper. I added some pen detailing on the brook and around the legs and boots with both a white marker and a black marker. And I decided to make this a Birthday card, so I added the sentiment with some white ink. I love her! and I love how she came out with the pencils. I hope you like her!!

SLSLines March Challenge

Good morning everyone!

Today we are on Challenge #7 at SLSLines Digistamps and for this challenge we are on an Anything Goes!  You have to love that! I am using the image Owl With Hat and Tie which you can find in the SLSLines Shop!

This card was cut with my Cameo. The cut around the owl is a Spellbinders die. All of the papers are from my scrap boxes. I colored this one with my Prismacolor Pencils and I did layer him just a little bit. I added the ties on the outside and inside. I've had these for a while. They were leftovers from a card a long time ago. I believe they are colored with Copic Markers.  I stamped the Happy Father's Day... I thought this image was perfect for a Father's Day card. I added the different gems down the side.  I did a little bit of paper tearing on this card, but it ended up hard to see on the front.

MelJen's Designs Glitters In Gold

Good morning everyone! Boy .. this has been a busy week!!  Monday I had doctor appointments... Tuesday was Lacrosse practice with Bailey... Wednesday was get Kevin to the DMV so he could officially get his Car Drivers License... he had the motorcycle, just hadn't taken the test for the car. The lady told him that he would be the best she had that day and that he should stay and teach everyone else LOL!!  Then it was take care of the tags for the bikes which ended up a nightmare because my daughter some how transferred everything to a different county... Then it was Support Group night. It was a busy Wednesday!!  Today is Lacrosse practice again!!  LOL What a week! I hope everyone is having a great one!! We are closer to the weekend!! Woot! Woot!!

Today we are on Challenge #251 at Meljen's Designs and our theme for this challenge is All That Glitters Is Gold (use gold). Here is what I have come up with:

I had so much fun with this challenge. I thought it was going to be hard to add gold, but I had a lot more gold than I realized. And with gold, I thought this would be the perfect time to throw in a Christmas card! For this one I used two images, Jingle All The Way and Jingle Bell. I colored these images with my Copic Markers, but with Jingle Bell I did a bit of piecing with gold paper. So, the top layer of the bell is printed on gold paper. The Jingle Bell image is also layered a bit. I added some details with a white pen as well. I added gold star paper on the bottom and gold ribbon to add a bit more gold. Then, I did some dots around Jingle All The Way with my Gold Liquid Pearls. I'm thinking I did okay adding the gold :) And this is my very first Christmas card for 2015!!

Copic Markers Used:
  • Holly: G20, G21, G24, G28
  • Berries: R24, R35, R59
  • Ribbon and Bow: R22, R24, R29
  • Bells and Stars: Y00, Y11, Y15, YR23, YR24

Whiff of Joy

Good morning everyone!!!  Today is my oldest daughter's birthday and she is the big 2-1 today!! Wow!!! I can't believe it! She is up at school, so I won't get to see her, but I hope to get up there soon or her down here. Happy Birthday Taylor!!

So, today I am posting my first post for Whiff of Joy for March. I have created two cards using this image:

The image I used is Football Ben which you can find in the Whiff of Joy shop. I colored this image with my Prismacolor Pencils. And I went with an Aussie color scheme .. I was thinking about my husband playing soccer hehehe And he was all cute blonde when he was younger. I didn't do any layering with him, but I had two images so I decided to make two cards. The only difference on these two are the sentiments. They are both Thank You cards, but the second one is Thank You Coach. All of the papers are from my scrap box... took me forever to find that net paper.. I knew I had some in there though! I remembered using it a long time ago LOL. I distressed the smaller square under the image. The soccer ball is a My Favorite Thing die cut and I colored some of it with my black pencil. I added the black buttons and the black ric rac. I thought the yellow and green gems would look nice as well, so I threw those on as an after though. I decorated the inside with the same papers and used up that net paper. I had some fun coloring these images... I'm trying to work out the layering a bit more.

I love our sponsors so much! They are so generous to sponsor our challenges! Be sure to visit them and spread the love! They deserve it! What would do without them!! They make our crafts so wonderful with their fantastic images!!

Alright...here is my project for "Luck"!

I have used the image Tinkles from our wonderful sponsor Make It Crafty! I colored her up with my Copic Markers and I did a little bit of layering on her. I added a bit of gold glitter around the edges of the bells. I also used some Opaque White to do some highlights on her. I used all scraps for this card. Still trying hard to use my scraps and get through some this year. The circle die is a My Favorite Thing stitched circle. I added some dry embossing to the two different shades of green strips across the middle. The clover is a Sizzix die that I cut three times with two shades of green and a clover patterned paper scrap in my scrap box. The tag is also a Sizzix die. The sentiment, 'Good Luck', is from Paper Smooches. I stamped it three times on the little tag and it is hidden behind the circle. I took a photo of the front with it tucked in and then one with it pulled out. I added a bit of white sparkle fiber and a horseshoe charm at the top and then added some green gems. She is a fun little elf! I had a blast coloring her up green to match the papers and the luck theme!
