MelJen's Deisgns Challenge.

Good morning!!  Today we have a new challenge starting at Meljens Designs Challenge Blog!! We are working on Challenge #193 this week and the theme for our challenge is A Sticky Situation (Use Stickers). This was a fun challenge. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have a ton of stickers that I never use LOL So this made me pull some out and use them!!!

Here is my card:

I used Birthday Bee from Meljens Designs. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils and using the Gamsol Technique. I have popped the wings, the head and the gift : I added some stickles to the wings and the dots and some flocking to the ball on the top of the hat. I also used some puff paint on his eyes to make them pop a bit.  The happy birthday was pre cut out on that white card.. so I layered some paper behind it. The paper is Basic Grey I believe.. they are from my scraps. The stickers that I used are the stars and the balloons! I can't wait to see what you come up with now!!

Happy Birthday Deer Friend.

Hi Everyone!! This card is using an image from Clear Dollar Stamps.. Deer Wishes. I found the sentiment stamp in my stash and thought.. Wow!!  How Perfect!! So.. another Winter/Christmas themed Birthday Card LOL

I fussy cut the image.. after I colored it a couple of times with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I decoupaged the deer, the cardinals, the top of the mailbox, the boxes. I used my Snow Marker again for some snow :)  I love my Snow Marker LOL I used my scrap papers from my stash that I've used this year. They are all Christmas papers. I also added the twine, gems, the deer charm and the cute little banner with the perfect Deer sentiment :)

Open-Minded Midway Post.

We are at the halfway point on our first challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges!! One more week to go. You have until right before midnight on the 17th to enter!! The winners will be announced at the halfway point of Challenge #2.. so stay tuned! :)

Here is my card share for Challenge #1: Use New Toys or Use A New Technique. I've chosen to use the Chalkboard Technique. This is something I have been really wanting to try and this was my chance to give it a shot!!

Here is my card:

I used my Copic markers to color the image.. which is Flora from Crafty Sentiments Designs. Isn't she wonderful!!! I just adore her and her adorable eyes! hehehe She is a cutie!! The only thing I decoupaged on this was her front wings. I inked around the square of her image. I also inked around the strips that I added on the side. Those are Basic Grey papers that I have had forever! I used black cardstock for the background, I stamped with several different stamps from Paper Smooches. I love these! I embossed each of them with white ink and I smeared some white chalk around with my finger to add that dirty chalk board look. I really love the look that it gives!!  For the inside I just added the embossed cross.. same stamp set from Paper Smooches :)

Happy Birthday!! :) and My Very first Whiff Of Joy Post!.

Today is my husbands birthday :)  So, for his birthday I made him this card. This is also my first Whiff Of Joy post! I loved working with this image.. and since Kevin's birthday is in January I found it very fitting to make it into a birthday card. Couldn't come on a colder day either!! Brrrr...

This was so fun! For this one I used Whiff of Joy - Freezing Friends. I colored this image with my Prismacolor pencils. I colored the image twice so that I could decoupage pieces of the image. I used my snowflake embossing folder for the white background. All of the papers are from Echo Park Paper Company and it from the Winter Park set of papers by Lori Whitlock. I distressed the edges of the papers on the inside. I added a little bit of stickles on the snow on the ground and the snowman. I used my snow marker.. I love that thing! for the hats. I popped parts of the scarfs, the snowmans buttons and nose and Henry's arm and gift. I also added those little wooden snow flakes. Hope you like it!!!  And I hope Kevin does as well!! ;)

Anything Goes at Meljen's Designs.

Good morning everyone!!!  Today we are starting up the challenges over at Meljens Designs for the year :)  Today is Challenge #191 and the theme is Anything Goes .. using a Meljens image of course :)

Today I used Autumn Fairy. I had this one printed out and couldn't resist getting it colored up!! So, here is my card:

I colored this little cutie up with my Copic markers. I added some copper paint dots and I added some stickles to her wings and around the edge of the square. I popped the little star around her waist, the leaf and her front arm. The papers I used were from my scrap box. They were from some papers I used last year and this year I believe LOL  The ribbon is from my stash that I have had for years. I love this little ribbon! I used the last of it though I think LOL I also inked around the papers to add that little bit of extra.
