Crafting When We Can Challenge #40

Happy Sunday everyone :)  Today begins a new challenge at Crafting When We Can! This is Challenge #40 and it is a sketch! This was a fun sketch to work with and an awesome image from Lacy Sunshine - Pickles and Waldo. I love them!! I made two cards since I had two colored. Here is the sketch we are using for this challenge:

Here is my card for our challenge:

For this one I used Copic to color the image. I used scrap papers from Club Scrap and cardstock. I used several dies: two of them Spellbinders and the other Memory Box. I distressed some edges, added some bone buttons which I have had forever! I think I have buttons in every color and shape LOL I must have collected them when I first started crafting. I created the sentiment for the outside and inside of the card. I thought it was fitting :) I also used some ribbon across the top.

Challenges:

Here is my 2nd card with the same image:

For this one I used a lot of the same. I used several dies... including the scalloped square by Spellbinders, the flower spray is Memory Box and the label is from My Favorite Things. I colored this image using Prismacolor pencils and Copic for the ground. I distressed several of the papers and I used the same sentiment that I designed for this card. I only used two bone buttons on this one as well.

Challenges:
Thanks so much for coming by! :)  It's good to be feeling better. And the weather this weekend is amazing. I have a garden box in the back yard. The kids and I worked on it yesterday. We added some soil and soil conditioner and got it all leveled out. I need to go to Walmart after church today and pick up a few more bags to add to the last section of the box. I planted onion in one section. I really can't plant anything else yet. I believe it is going to be getting really cold again and I don't want to kill everything before I get it going. I'm going to try for some tomato, cucumber, radish, peas, onion and zucchini. I believe that was it. I'm excited to be able to plant a garden!! I couldn't do that in the apartment!

We also got our driveway poured yesterday! FINALLY!! It has been really terrible driving on the rock and dirt. I can't drive on it for a week, but it is poured so that is great!

I'm not 100% well yet, but I am feeling really good!! It's good to be feeling better :) I missed a day and a half of work and I NEVER miss work LOL But all is good.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. We will be heading off to church in a bit. Happy Sunday everyone!!!

Happy Sunday everyone! Yesterday was my oldest daughter's birthday. She turned 19 years old.. I can't believe it! She came down from school with her new boyfriend. We had a cookie cake to celebrate and I gave her some cash LOL Nice birthday present huh? Well... It is for a broke 19 year old college student. LOL Alright... On to the Challenge for this week:

Today we start a new challenge with One Stitch At A Time. This week is Challenge #154 - Anything Goes!

I used a Stitchy Stamps Image - Pumpkin Fairy. Way cute!! I colored the fairy with Copic. I used all scraps on this card. I distressed some of the papers edges. I used a Memory Box die cut and Queen & Co. Pave stones. I also used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment. I doodled on the edge of the image and he inside of the card to match. I used a sketch from Incy Wincy Designs:

    Copic:
    G12, G17, G19
    YG01, YG06, YG09
    YR00, YR02, YR16, YR18

Happy Christmas Eve Eve - Crafting When We Can

Happy Christmas Eves Eve everyone :)  I'm just now trying to get back to a normal routine!! I've been super busy :)  And now I have a moment and can share :)  But First!!! We have a new Challenge beginning over at Crafting When We Can this week!! Our theme this week is a Sketch!

I had the great pleasure of working with Amalia's Christmas Present from Dilly Bean Stamps! Megan is an amazing artist.. don't you agree?  I colored the image with copic. I have lost my list of colors!! And my desk is such a mess I'm not surprised.. And well.. Kevin enjoys telling me I have the messiest place in the apartment LOL!! I can't help it!  Anyway... back to my card.

I really hate that I have lost my list... I write everything down as I use it LOL  Okay.. I'll do my best. I know I used my favorites R22, R24, R27, R29 for the red. I used Crystal Transparent Glitter from The Art Glittering System. I popped her several times in several areas. The sentiment is from TLC Creation. There are tons of great sentiments there. The papers are all scraps from other cards I've made and I can't remember what companies the papers are from. The gems are from my stash. Now, it's your turn! I can't wait to see what you do with this awesome sketch!!

    Challenges:

So, Kevin arrived in the USA on December 12th!! He got here in Georgia on December 12th in the evening! The kids and I picked him up at the airport. We stopped and had some dinner and then came home. He loves Chickfila and couldn't wait to stop for a sandwich LOL So, that is what we did. He was pretty worn out... we visited for a while and then headed to bed. I had to work in the morning, so I got up and headed in. I did NOT want to be at work LOL I left a bit early and came home. I had taken Friday off. Friday morning we went and got a marriage license and then Friday evening we went back to the court house with all three of my children and got married. So!! After all of our waiting we are now Husband and Wife :)  And I couldn't be more happy!! We didn't go anywhere because I had to work, but we have enjoyed our time together. I haven't been on the pc too much. I'm just starting to get back to my normal routine. I feel all out of sorts. So, there you have it LOL I've been a bit busy between getting married and Christmas! And I miss all the blogs! I'm trying to get caught up a bit.

Alright... we are off to church soon. I will talk to you all again very soon! I hope you have a wonderful day .. Almost Christmas!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!

    Meljen's Challenge - It's A Sketch!

Good morning everyone. I'm am so thankful it is Thursday. I don't know what is going on at work or why I seem extra busy, but I can't get out of work on time and I'm non stop all day. Of course the week didn't start off so great LOL  On Monday one of my Directors needed something done. I worked ALL day on it.. and even into the evening. I worked for 13 hours on it.. only to be told that I had been working on the wrong thing. Ughhh... how frustrating is that!! So, I got up early on Tuesday, got into work and did what she needed done so that it was waiting for her when she got in. Not the best way to start off the week LOL Oh well! I have gotten a lot of things done this week. I can't seem to catch up no matter what I do though. I guess that is good though.. job security!

Okay.. enough of that.. on to our challenge this week. Our Challenge this week at Meljen's Designs is a Sketch Challenge!

I followed the sketch... somewhat LOL I did make some changes.. mostly because my image ended up on a rectangle instead of a circle. Just how it worked out. I did add the extra circle to make up for it :)

Let's see... I used mostly cardstock.. the teal and the pink. There is a white patterned paper on the teal.. the strip of it next to the teal strip with the "Season's Greetings" on it. That strip is pattered paper from Little Yellow Bicycle - Once Upon A Christmas. I used some buttons from my stash and ribbon from my stash.. those are no less than 8 years old LOL The circle is made from a folding technique here at Desire's - Doing Life. I didn't fold the edges down.. I wanted to leave it just like this instead this time with the snowflake added. The snowflake is from Snowflake Repeats - Jolee's Boutique. The Season's Greetings stamp is from Paper Smooches. And of course the wonderful image is from Meljen's Designs - Santa's Little Helper. On the hat I used flock but it wasn't enough so I added some Picket Fence - Distress Stickles on it also. I used a little bit of Mustard Seed - Distress Stickles on the bell as well. I popped several pieces of him. I colored the image with Copic and here is a list of colors:
    Copic:
    Gifts: YG0000, YG11, YG13, V12, V15, V17, RV13, RV14, RV19, Y15, Y18, Y19, BG10, BG13, BG15, B000, B12, B14
    Outfit: YG00, YG21, YG23, YG25, R20, R22, R24
Bell: Sanford - Gold Metallic Marker, outlined with .005 Prismacolor Premier Fine Line Black Marker
    Skin: R20, E000, E00, E01, E11
    Hair: E08, E09
    Tongue: R20, R22 and inside R59

    Challenges:

I hope you all have a wonderful day / evening today!! I just need to get through today and I'll be home working tomorrow!! Woohoo :)  I'm hoping I can get caught up on some cards this weekend. I need to get some images colored. That is what takes me the longest.. well.. that and my need to cut everything up and make everything dimensional LOL!!

Saturday we are packing up and taking the extra food from Thanksgiving at the church to a local MUST Ministries. Sunday will be a busy day for Bailey at church... she has choir practice at 9 am, a meeting at 10 am and then church at 10:30 am. She wants to come to the sanctuary this week because they are starting their Christmas themed sermons. This week will be "What Child Is This".

There is a blog hop today over at Paper Smooches.. gotta love me some Paper Smooches!!!! Make sure you go check it out!!!

Alright.. time for me to get moving!
