Mad About Markers at Crafting When We Can

Good morning! And happy Sunday! Last weekend my hubby and I suffered from that awful stomach bug. Night before last he started feeling it again!! Yesterday I spent the time bleaching everything!! I scrubbed the bathroom, door knobs, light fixtures, where we touch the tv to turn it, the remote controls, mice LOL You name it ... anything I could think of I wiped down with bleach. I also bought some hand sanitizer to go on top of our regular soap washing..  I'm a big soap and water hand washer.. I work in the health industry.. makes sense ;) I stripped the bed again and washed it and the towels. LOL So there you have it... I've cleaned and cleaned. He didn't get anything full on, so I'm happy about that. Now.. on to our challenge :) Have a great rest of your weekend everyone!

Today is Challenge #46 at Crafting When We Can. Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Lacy Sunshine. The theme for this challenge is Mad About Markers. So get your markers out, Copic, Spectrum Noir, whatever you use and start coloring!

I used my copic markers on the wonderful Olivia Otter from Lacy Sunshine. I also used two different shades of green gems from my stash, a rhinestone swirl, ribbon, buttons and twine. I punched a scalloped circle which I added my sentiment to, Your Otter This World. I used brown and green cardstock from my stash. I embossed the brown with dots. The patterned papers are from Animal Crackers Matstack from DCWV. And I think that is it. I love all the papers in that matstack.

Copic:
Cattails - E15, E17, E18
Body - E71, E74, E77
Water - B0000, BG0000, BG000
Nose/Pads - W5, W7, W9
Eyes - B02, B04, B05
Flower - Y00, Y02, Y04, R000, R30, R32

Crafting When We Can Challenge #40

Happy Sunday everyone :)  Today begins a new challenge at Crafting When We Can! This is Challenge #40 and it is a sketch! This was a fun sketch to work with and an awesome image from Lacy Sunshine - Pickles and Waldo. I love them!! I made two cards since I had two colored. Here is the sketch we are using for this challenge:

Here is my card for our challenge:

For this one I used Copic to color the image. I used scrap papers from Club Scrap and cardstock. I used several dies: two of them Spellbinders and the other Memory Box. I distressed some edges, added some bone buttons which I have had forever! I think I have buttons in every color and shape LOL I must have collected them when I first started crafting. I created the sentiment for the outside and inside of the card. I thought it was fitting :) I also used some ribbon across the top.

Challenges:

Here is my 2nd card with the same image:

For this one I used a lot of the same. I used several dies... including the scalloped square by Spellbinders, the flower spray is Memory Box and the label is from My Favorite Things. I colored this image using Prismacolor pencils and Copic for the ground. I distressed several of the papers and I used the same sentiment that I designed for this card. I only used two bone buttons on this one as well.

Thanks so much for coming by! :)  It's good to be feeling better. And the weather this weekend is amazing. I have a garden box in the back yard. The kids and I worked on it yesterday. We added some soil and soil conditioner and got it all leveled out. I need to go to Walmart after church today and pick up a few more bags to add to the last section of the box. I planted onion in one section. I really can't plant anything else yet. I believe it is going to be getting really cold again and I don't want to kill everything before I get it going. I'm going to try for some tomato, cucumber, radish, peas, onion and zucchini. I believe that was it. I'm excited to be able to plant a garden!! I couldn't do that in the apartment!

We also got our driveway poured yesterday! FINALLY!! It has been really terrible driving on the rock and dirt. I can't drive on it for a week, but it is poured so that is great!

I'm not 100% well yet, but I am feeling really good!! It's good to be feeling better :) I missed a day and a half of work and I NEVER miss work LOL But all is good.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. We will be heading off to church in a bit. Happy Sunday everyone!!!
