Lots of Layers with Tammy's Scrapin Corner

http://crafty-emblies.blogspot.co.uk/p/challenge.htmlGood morning everyone!! Today we have Lots of Layers over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner. I didn't use the best image to show a lot of layers LOL Even though I got a bunch of layers in there, but I LOVE this image. I had planned on using my normal decoupage with it and that would have given me more layers, but decided on coloring it with my Prismacolor pencils. I colored one with the pencils only and the other I used Gamsol with my pencils. It was fun! Here are the two cards:

Card Not Using Gamsol:

So, with this one I just colored, shaded, etc with the colored pencils. I used yellow, icicle and purple Stickles. I also used White Opal Liquid Pearls for different spots of white. I used one of my edge punches for the green and blue layers. I added the doily die cuts that I just won from a challenge. They are from My Craft Spot. I added glass beads around the doily cuts and I added gems to the bottom.

For the second card, I used all the same items, but instead of just using the Prismacolor Pencils, I used Gamsol when coloring the image. I used the pencils around the edge and used the Gamsol which melts the pencil and spreads it out. I think it really looks good. Here is that card:

I love Bugaboo images :)  And their scenes are no exception. So that is it for me this week :)  I can't wait to see all of your layers!!

Crafting When We Can Personalize It!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday. Today we have a new Challenge over at Crafting When We Can. The theme for this week is to Personalize your card by adding a name. I decided to make a card for my oldest daughter since she will be finishing up her first year of college in another week and coming home for the summer. I hope she will like it!

I used Katniss Girl On Fire from Sassy Studio Designs. I colored her with Copic. I added blooms and gems and a swirl of gems. The dies are from Spellbinders. This was a fun image to color up and I think she turned out pretty nice.

I had a really stressful week last week and I have no idea what the heck was wrong with me LOL Tired? Hormonal? LOL Who knows! Just one of those weeks and I'm really glad it is over! hehehe  On to a new week and may it be much better! *hugs* to all of you!!

April DT Day at Meljen's

Good morning everyone! Today is my special DT Day at Meljen's. Our theme this month is Anything Goes! I was able to use one of my favorite images ... Little Hummingbird. I think this Little Hummingbird is the CUTEST I have ever seen and I couldn't wait to make something out of it :)  So, here is my card:

I hope you enjoy!!! I used all scraps for this card. The die at the bottom is a Memory Box die and the leaves on the side are the cutouts from that. They were perfect.. I couldn't resist using them! I added some Prima flowers. The two square dies are Spellbinders. I used a bottlecap which I added a piece of the paper, added the glitter around the edge and covered it with Diamond Glaze. I added gems. I added some glitter to the hummingbird too. He's so cute!! He makes me think of Spring!! I just love this little guy. The "What's Up" Stamp is Paper Smooches. And I colored the image with Copic.

Bling It Up at Tammy's Scrapin Corner

Happy Monday everyone!! We are on Challenge #59 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner and our theme this week is to Bling It Up!!

I used Molly Throughout the Year from Stamp Fairy. Isn't she just the best! I colored her with Copic and I paper pieced her dress and little socks, as well as her headband. I used a Memory Box die cut for the edge that I used at the bottom and Spellbinders for the scallop oval and the oval. The Birthday stamp is from Hampton Art - Doodlebug Design Inc. I used swirls and gems all pink for my bling! I distressed all the edges on this card.

I used Hamish Mouse from Kaz Kraftz. Isn't he just adorable! I used Copic to color this image. I added the flowers from The Ribbon Girl. Thanks is from Sentimental Susan. The edge is cut from a Spellbinders die. I inked the edges with Distress Ink. I added some dimension to the mouse. You all know how much I love decoupage LOL Some of the flowers are popped as well.

Another Bear Couple Card

I made a second card with that same Teddy Bear Couple image from yesterday. I wanted to make this one a bit more Clean and Simple. So here is the second card using that wonderful image:

This is using the same image, Teddy Bear Couple. I colored the image with Copic. The "Happy Anniversary" stamp is Paper Smooches and the inside stamp is Club Scrap. Again... the main focus would be the image and everything is just clean. I thoroughly enjoyed coloring this image :) And I LOVE Meljen's Designs.
