Meljen's Challenge #199.

Good morning everyone! Today I'm going to post for Meljens Challenge, but I'm also asking for prayers. Kevin's nephew, Kyle Coleman, has gone missing in the Mt. Isa area in Australia. He has been missing since 6 am on February 22nd. They have been doing extensive searches for him. And yet... there is no sign of him. He was said to have been leaving Soldiers Hill at 6 am on Saturday on his way home to Parkside only 3 km away. Please say a prayer for him, his mother and father, siblings and all his family and friends.

Today is Challenge #199 at Meljen's!! This week is a sketch challenge and here is the sketch:

And here is what I came up using the sketch:

For this card I used two images from Meljens Designs. I used the new Cool Snowboarder as well as Twin Star String. I printed each several times for different reasons LOL I used a lot of the stars around the card and for the Cool Snowboarder, guess what I did? LOL I decoupaged the image. I colored the images with my Copic Markers. I used a Spellbinders circle die for the circle. I used a die for small circles which I cut out the inside of to make the Olympic Rings. I added different colors of glitter to each of those to make those rings sparkle. I'm pretty sure the paper was Pebbles Inc., but I'm not 100% sure. I distressed the edges of the patterned paper and I stitched the top rectangle layer. I added the snow corner die cut that I cut on vellum. I was trying to add a little something winter. I typed the sentiment. The Twin Stars String was cut from several prints and used on both the front and the inside of the card. I also added some diamond glaze to the goggles to give it a little bit of shine like glass.

Copic:
  • Cool Snowboarder Blue: B21, B23, B18
  • Cool Snowboarder Red: R35, R27, R56
  • Cool Snowboarder Skin: E000, E00, E02, E11
  • Cool Snowboarder Hair: E42, E44, E47, E59
  • Twin Star String Yellow: Y00, Y11, Y15, YR24
