DT Day at Meljens!.

Happy Morning everyone! Today is my DT Day over at Meljens Designs. My inspiration for today is Christmas! Yes.. I know Christmas is finished LOL, but I'm trying to make myself a goal of actually getting some Christmas cards done through the year. I'm terrible about waiting for the last minute to try and get them all finished LOL I would be doing really well if I at least tried to get one finished a month. That would at least be 12 ahead of where I am most of the years :)  So here is my first Christmas card for the year:

On this card I used North Pole Critters. I colored the image with Copic Markers. I added snow with my Snow Marker. At the top of the pole.. the ball.. I used some Diamond Glaze. I used a doily in the background that I actually cut some around the edge. I used some of what I cut from the doily as the larger snowflakes on the image. These were Christmas papers from 2012 that I had scraps and I used those! I can't even remember what the company was. They were great papers though. I distressed the papers and put copper around the edge of the image. The Merry Christmas is a Paper Smooches stamp.

wow, I am loving that "snow marker" and I had to chuckle as I promise myself every year that I'll be making Christmas cards through the year and then December is here and once again, I'm behind. Good for you, I should do that too but honestly, after making a christmas card order in december, I'm sooooo ready for "other" themed cards :-).
Your card is adorable and definitely makes me feel the "winter snowflakes". Thanks so much for joining us in The Sisterhood of Crafters for our Winter Snowflakes challenge.

This card grabs my heart. First of all, I'm not ready to leave winter cards behind...I love making them anytime of the year. this image is adorable and you've colored it beautifully. The colors of this card are HAPPY. Do you know what I mean? You look at it and smile. It's fabulous! I love your snow and have used Snow Tek, puffy paint, and just about every product out there to get the "fluffy" look since I think it really gives the card great dimension. This is a great card! Thanks for joining us at The Paper Shelter challenge this week. Hope to see you again soon, too!!! Hugs, Gail

Cute, although that poor bunny is out of place - maybe he thinks it's Easter time? Like your snow. Thanks for sharing this with us at Crafting with Dragonflies for our first challenge for 2014.
