Challenge #23 @ The East Wind

Good morning everyone! Hmm... mid week and what's been going on. Well.. we have the opportunity to lower our payment for the home we are purchasing, but that means stalling the closing by a week. The sellers wanted us to pay the amount we would be saving for a year. I'm annoyed! REALLY annoyed! We have been so fair I think. The home just appraised for what we offered. I don't know.. I'm just really annoyed! One week is all we are asking... before the first of next month. Just changing the closing date to the 30th instead of the 22nd. Anyway... that has been my frustration this week! LOL Other than that it has been a pretty good week.

Today I'm sharing my creation for Challenge #23 at The East Wind. And the theme for this challenge is Winter Blues (use predominantly blue):

For this image I used the no lines technique and I've colored it with my Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils. I used blue papers to go along with the image. I added some snowflakes, gems and brads. Pretty simple card, but I wanted to mostly focus on the image. I LOVE this image so much!  No decoupage on this creation!

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E00, E01
  • Ice and Crown: B000, B000, B00
  • Eyes: B00, V01 and colored pencil
  • Hair: C1, V22, C3, V25, V28, BV08

Good morning!  Monday morning!! It really did come too fast! There is so much to be done and so little time LOL We are actually at the waiting stage on getting the house. Everything is with the Underwriters. Our closing is scheduled for the 22nd of January, so we sit and wait.

Today we are on a new challenge at SLSLines Digi Stamps; Challenge #5 - Portrait. Here is what I have done with this challenge:

I used papers from Mambi and the gold paper is from my stash of scraps! I used some green from my stash as well to cut the Cheery Lynn swirl. The circles are Spellbinders dies. January Whiff Of Joy

Good evening everyone! I'm posting this a bit later than normal :)  But I wanted to get it posted today! It has been so hard to get any crafting done with an imminent move. So, I'm trying to get done what I can. Soon I'll be packing up though and then having to unpack! Yuck! LOL  But it will all be so worth it!!

So, here is my first posting in January for Whiff of Joy:

For this card I have used Charlotte and Charly Waltzing. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and I have decoupaged the image a bit. For the card I cut some black and this white sparkle paper that makes me think of a wedding. I used triangles and used them on half each of the card in the background. Then I created the four squares with some pink glitter paper in the background and the white paper embossed with a swirl embossing folder. I added some mesh ribbon, the metal corners and some pearl swirls. I decorated the inside with the same papers. And another creation using scraps!

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
  • Tuxedo: C3, C5, C7, C9
  • Pink: R20, R22, R24

Good morning everyone! What's been going on? We are well on our way in the process of purchasing a home! We will close on the 22nd of January. This weekend our plan is to get the kitchen packed up and only leave the bare medium out for us to use. Other than that, I'm hoping to craft!

Today is Saturday and our winners for Challenge #26 are posted this morning at Open-Minded Crafting Fun! That was our All White Challenge and our sponsors for Challenge #26 were Digital Delights, Jessica Weible Illustrations, Paper Pretties, Sami Stamps and Sassy Studio Designs. Be sure to check out our Winners and DT Favorites!

And we are on a midway post for Challenge #27: New Years Resolutions!! You still have a week to get in our first challenge of 2015!! Our sponsors for Challenge #27 are:

I love our sponsors! And I want to thank our wonderful sponsors for everything they do!!

Here is my project for Challenge #27:

For the Midway Challenge #27 I have created this Cascade Card! I chose to do a Christmas Card for my New Years Resolutions. I have three of them! One is to start shopping for Christmas gifts starting at the beginning of the year! I want to purchase Christmas gifts all through the year so it doesn't hit us all at once at the beginning of the year! So, that is one New Years Resolutions! The second one is to work on Christmas Cards all year long! I think I did okay last year getting a bunch of Christmas cards done through the year and I want to stay on track and do it again this year! So, this is my start! First Christmas card of 2015! And the third one is to use a LOT of my scrap papers this year! I have a ton of scraps and I want to get through a bunch of them! For this card I have used ALL scraps except for the base of the card!  So there you have it... Three New Years Resolutions to work on this year!! :)

For this card I've used Little Present from Zuri Artsy Craftsy Digital Stamps! i colored her with both my Copic Markers and my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol, with a bit of Copic Opaque White for highlights.. I had a lot of fun making this Cascade card. This is the fist time I've created one of these! I've used a couple of different Spellbinders circles dies. I did a bit of decoupage on her as well. I added the holly swirl from Cheery Lynn. And the green and red gems around the circle. The fabric holly leaves were from a Challenge win! I stamped the Merry Christmas, which is from Paper Smooches, twice and put them on the different layers of the card. And that is it! I hope you join us for our challenge!!

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
  • Hair: E21, E25, E27, E29

January Cuddly Buddly

Good morning everyone! It is FREEZING outside!  No riding my bike today... a bit too cold for that! So, I had to pile in the van and get to work that way instead. I love riding the Bergman to work every day! I hate that it's too cold - 12˚ F or -11.1˚ C! Tomorrow it's suppose to be 20˚ F (-6.6˚ C), so we will try that. With my heated gloves I should be good!

What has been going on with everyone? Here we have been working on buying a home. We put in an offer on a house, but so did an investor. The investor's offer was accepted, but they asked us to sign as a back up in case anything happened with the investor. So, we agreed and we kept looking for a house. Well... the investor ended up backing out! So, we have been busy as can be negotiating repairs and the contract on the house. They accepted everything last night and we are REALLY happy with what they have agreed to. So, we are well on our way! We should be closing on the 22nd of January. We still have rent at our current place through February, so that gives us plenty of time to get moved over and all the little touch ups we need to do at the rental.. filling picture holes and such. We are really excited! The kids will be changing schools, so I have that all lined up. I go to their schools the first week in February to get that all situated! We have been SO busy though! What a way to start the New Year! We are so happy and blessed!

Okay... on to why you are really here :)  Today I am sharing my first January post for Cuddly Buddly!

For this card I used Best Buddies Just To Say - Pachela Studios Digi Stamps which you can find in the Cuddly Buddly Shop! I just LOVE these images! They are so perfect to decoupage! Just LOVE them!!  So many layers... really easy to layer!

I colored the image with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I used some Copic Opaque White for some highlights. The Good Luck stamped on the sign was from Paper Smooches. I added the white net ribbon and the white sparkle fiber. I also added a few pearls.I have no idea who the papers are from. They were in my stash.
